Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement comprising means for handling switching of data packets or flows of data packets in a communication system supporting communication of packet data to functional units or processing arrangements for performing operations on the data packets. It comprises core processing means (10) with classifying means (13) for classifying packets/packet flows and defining the processing flow sequences applicable for the packets/packet flows, distributing means (12;19;22) for distributing or switching the packets/packet flows to the appropriate functional units or processing arrangements according to the applicable flow sequence, indication providing means for indicating the current position of the respective packets/packet flows in the respective applicable processing flow sequence and means (11) for detecting or retrieving packet flow sequence information such that re-classification of already classified packets can be avoided.

Abstract: 585054 Disclosed is a method for establishing secure communication between communication devices in a communications network. A first communication device transmits a request to a first key management server (KMS) apparatus and in response to the request, the first KMS apparatus transmits keying information and a voucher with an identifier for retrieving the keying information. The first communication device receives this keying information and creates a session with a second communication device which is separate from the first KMS apparatus. Creating the session with the second communication device includes transmitting a session invitation message that comprises the voucher.

No todos estos AN pueden soportar llamadas de emergencia. Para ayudar al dispositivo al seleccionar cual AN debe usar para iniciar una llamada de emergencia, uno más servidores en la red de núcleo envían información de soporte de emergencia al dispositivo indicando cual AN soporta llamadas de emergencia. El servidor ventajosamente envía esta información al dispositivo antes de que el dispositivo inicie una llamada de emergencia. Por lo tanto, al recibir un comando para iniciar una llamada de emergencia, el dispositivo elige inteligentemente el AN sobre el cual se va a iniciar la llamada con base en cual AN soporta realmente la llamada de emergencia, el dispositivo inteligentemente selecciona el AN sobre el cual se inicia la llamada con base en cual AN soporta realmente la llamada de emergencia. Esto elimina o por lo menos reduce la posibilidad de que la llamada de emergencia será redireccionada a un AN diferente, reduciendo así el retardo requerido para colocar exitosamente la llamada de emergencia.

Abstract: In a procedure for delivering streaming media, a Client first requests the media from an Order Server. The Order Server authenticates the Client and sends a ticket to the Client. Then, the Client sends the ticket to a Streaming Server. The Streaming Server checks the ticket for validity and if found valid encrypts the streaming data using a standardized real-time protocol such as the SRTP and transmits the encrypted data to the Client. The Client receives the data and decrypts them. Copyrighted material adapted to streaming can be securely delivered to the Client. The robust protocol used is very well suited for in particular wireless clients and similar devices having a low capacity such as cellular telephones and PDAs.

Abstract: The invention relates to password-based authentication in group networks. Each device has an authentication token irreversibly based on the password. The authentication involves a first device at which the password P is entered and a second device towards which the authentication occurs. The first device determines a check token Mj for the second based on the password and its own authentication token Rl and this check token is sent to the second device, where it is compared with the authentication token of that device. The procedure may include update of a device to exclude a non-trusted device from the group or change the password. Advantageous features are that the information in one device does not allow retrieval of the password and that the password is only exposed at one device, and only temporarily, during the authentication.

Abstract: An arrangement, system, and method for switching data packet flows in a communication system. A flow processing core classifies packet flows and defines processing flow sequences applicable to the packet flows. A distributing arrangement directs the packet flows to appropriate functional units or processors according to each packet flow's applicable processing flow sequence. The current position of each packet flow in its respective processing flow sequence is indicated. Packet flow sequence information may be determined so that reclassification of already classified packets is avoided.
