    Abstract: A device includes a measurement element for automatically measuring optical locating or identification characteristics of an ophthalmic lens, a cutting-out element for cutting out an ophthalmic lens and including an element for lens clamping, and a receiver/transfer element that receives an ophthalmic lens and transfers it in at least three transfers between at least four distinct positions, a first between a loading or unloading position for the lens and a measurement position in which the ophthalmic lens is presented aligned with the measurement element, a second transfer between the measurement position and an intermediate position, and a third transfer between the intermediate position and a cutting-out position, presenting the lens for being clamped by the clamping element of the cutting-out element. The transfer element includes a second transfer element arranged to receive a plurality of ophthalmic lenses simultaneously and to perform the second transfers of the ophthalmic lenses in turn.
