    Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus comprising a base plate (10) capable of receiving an optical lens (11) and of centring it, and, mounted so as to pivot on this base plate (10), for the positioning of a gripping and retaining member on such an optical lens (11), an arm (14) equipped with a support (15) capable of receiving in a removable manner this gripping and retaining member. According to the invention, this support (15), or sucker support, is carried by a barrel (20) mounted rotatably on the arm (14), and this barrel (20) also carries another support (21), or template support, capable of receiving in a removable manner a template to be superposed on the optical lens (11) before a gripping and retaining member is positioned thereon.
