Abstract: A mixture essentially comprising polyoxymethylene (component A), a rubber-elastic graft copolymer whose particles are built from a rubber-elastic, single-phase core based on polydiene and a hard graft shell (component B), and, if desired, a third polymeric component (component C), and a three-component mixture comprising components A, B' and C, where, in the case of B', the core comprises predominantly or fully poly(meth)acrylic acid esters or silicone rubber instead of polydiene. The mouldings produced from these mixtures have, in particular, good low-temperature impact strength.

Abstract: The invention relates to polyoxymethylene fibrids with a reduced specific viscosity of 0.4 to 2.0 dl/g-1, a specific surface area of 50 to 200 m2/g and a freeness of 30 to 80.degree.SR. According to the inyention, the fibrids are produced by flash-evaporation of a superheated solution of the polymer, a mixture of 50 - 95 % by weight of a lower alcohol with 1-4 C atoms and 5- 50 % by weight of water being used as the solvent. The fibrids thus obtained are suitable for the production of paper.

Abstract: A polypropylene molding composition of polypropylene, ethylene-propylene copolymer and polyethylene having a high hardness and increased impact strength and homogeneity after processing is obtained by way of a continuous three-stage polymerization, when the melt viscosities of the polymer mixtures obtained in the individual stages are in a determined ratio of one to the other.

Abstract: A polyolefin moulding composition essentially comprising a polyolefin which comprises an olefin having at least 3 carbon atoms, of the formula R -CH=CH-R , in which R and R are identical or different and are hydrogen or straight-chain or branched C1-C15-alkyl, or R and R , together with the atoms connecting them, form a ring system, and from 0 to 10% by weight of ethylene or a second olefin as defined above as comonomer, characterised in that the MFI (230/2.16) is from 5 to 1000 g/10 min, the MFI (230/5) is from 15 to 3000 g/10 min, the molecular weight Mw is from 75,000 to 350,000 g/mol, the polydispersity Mw/Mn is from 1.8 to 3.5, the viscosity index is from 70 to 300 cm /g, the melting point is from 120 to 165@C and the isotactic block length is from 25 to 150, and an ether-extractable content of less than 2% by weight, based on the total weight of the polymer.

Abstract: The invention relates to a mixture composed essentially of polyoxymethylene (component A), a rubber-elastic graft copolymer in which the particles have been formed from a rubber-elastic, single-phase core based on polydiene and a hard graft shell (component 3) and, if appropriate, a polymeric third component (component C). The invention also relates to a three-component mixture of the components A, B, and C, the core, in the case of B', being preponderantly or entirely composed of poly (meth)acrylic acid ester or silicone rubber instead of polydiene. The shaped articles produced from these mixtures are particularly distinguished by good low-temperature impact strength.
