Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for self shopping support capable of supporting a shopper to perform self-service shopping by using electronic shelf labels (ESL) while a shopper looks at actual items displayed in a store and expanding functions of the electronic shelf labels and expansively linking with the other data processing system. SOLUTION: The shopper uses a mobile processing device (typically, portable phone possessed by the shopper) in the store. An application program as the function required for obtaining contents from the electronic shelf labels (ESL) is introduced to a portable phone possessed by the shopper (610), and the shopper can expect to readily enjoy shopping (620). When photographing the electronic shelf label (ESL) (630), the content correlated with the item is encoded (a price display (640) is automatically changed to a bar code (650)), and decoded (660). Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embed reversible visible watermarks in compressed motion pictures. SOLUTION: There are provided a reversible quantization/dequantization operator 10 for deqauntizing motion picture data subjected to information compression containing frequency conversion and quantization, and a watermark embedding/eliminating operator 30 for generating and embedding visible electronic watermark patterns corresponding to motion-compensated prediction in the motion picture data that have been dequantized by the quantization/dequantization operation part 10. The quantization/dequantization operator 10 quantizes the motion picture data in which the electronic watermarks have been embedded by the watermark embedding/eliminating operation part 30. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate to which part of an image is falsified by imbedding an electronic watermark to the image. SOLUTION: An imbedding section 30 selects DCT coefficients corresponding to each other from respective DCT blocks of a luminance component Y of an image two each of them formed in pairs and included in each pair by using a random number and processes the DCT coefficients so that the correlation between them represents data according to prescribed rules and imbeds the data to the image. When this image is falsified, the DCT coefficients included in the pairs of the falsified part bend the rules so as to represent a different value from that of the original data. An extract section 40 extracts the data from the image, estimates the data imbedded at first through majority decision and discriminates that the pairs with the data different from the estimated data extracted from them receive falsification and displays the discriminated result.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control data transfer between buses, to mutually connect the buses and to transfer data between the buses by preserving the address of an access request destination in a self retry register and terminating a bus cycle on a secondary side PCI bus not by a target abort but by retry. SOLUTION: A PCI to PCI bridge 21 temporarily terminates the bus cycle not by target abort but by retry on the secondary side PCI bus 40 operating as a target. A secondary side PCI to ISA bridge 51 executes assertion and requests the bus cycle at subtractive timing. Thus, a transaction is transmitted to a secondary side ISA device 52 being a target and data is transferred between the master secondary side PCI device 42 and the slave secondary side ISA device 52 without fail.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively limit the reproduction of illicitly copied contents. SOLUTION: A content reproduction device is provided having a reproduction means for reproducing contents containing sounds or images; a playlist control means for controlling a playlist that is a list of the identification information of contents previously reproduced by the reproduction means; a blacklist acquisition means for acquiring a blacklist that is a list of the identification information of contents illicitly copied in the past; and a reproduction limiting means for limiting the reproduction of contents by the reproduction means if either of the pieces of identification information included in the playlist is also included in the blacklist. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital watermark embedding/detecting method and system not demanding a signal for geometric correction. SOLUTION: A periodic pattern having repetition is used for an embedding pattern itself having information for embedding as digital watermarking, and a change in the period is observed at the time of detection, thereby calculating an enlargement and reduction rate. At the time of detection of digital watermarking, the enlargement and reduction rate of a screen image is acquired from digital data which is performed an enlargement and reduction, and next a detection processing of the digital watermarking is carried out based on the obtained enlargement and reduction rate.
