    Abstract: The present invention provides a service providing device and a service providing method enabling a user to accept the service by utilizing the capabilities of several various devices. An available physical device or a combination of the physical devices is selected for the user based on the service requirement, and the user accepts the service via the selected physical device or the combination of the physical devices. The invention "hides" the physical devices by using a virtual device to provide the servic e for users. Furthermore, the invention provides a "tailored" virtual device based on the environment around the user, the favorite of user and the requirements of the service, and therefore the invention may provide to the user the "tailored" information suitable for the user. The operating environment of the virtual device according to the invention is dynamically changeable according to the environment around the user, the favorite of use r and the requirements of the service, and therefore a seamless service may be provided to the user.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile phone and a method for its operation and control. The mobile phone is capable of receiving the message sent by other mobile phones through a message transmission system. The method comprises: receiving the message from another mobile phone, wherein the received message comprises a presentation part and an associated control part, the control part being used for the control and management of the processing of the received message; extracting the control part from the received message; and executing the operation related to the message based on the extracted control part. According to an embodiment, if the control part received by the mobile phone comprises the notification mode control command, the mobile phone issues a message notification according to the notification mode control command, disregarding the message notification mode pre-configured on the mobile phone. Thus the requirement of the sender personalized message service can be satisfied.

    Abstract: A multimedia messaging system for receiving/sending multimedia messages, includes: a wireless LAN; and a MMS gateway. The MMS gateway performs: receiving/sending the multimedia message to/from a MMS user device via the wireless LAN; and encrypting the multimedia message. The encryption is performed by: issuing a certificate to the MMS user device; sending a session ID and a master key encrypted by the MMS gateway's private key to the MMS user device in response to a request of the MMS user device having the certificate; generated a shared secret key using an algorithm combining the master key with the MMS user device's phone number and the session ID; and encrypting the multimedia message using the shared secret key.
