Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phosphate triester containing specific ester residues, excellent in skin affinity, touch and safety to skins, and useful as a wax base material for cosmetics, external preparations. SOLUTION: This phosphate triester comprises a chemical structure of the formula [R is a 25-50C (branched) alkyl or alkenyl, especially a 28-40C branched alkyl, e.g. 2-dodecylhexadecyl (Ry), 2-hyxadecylicosyl (Rz); R is a 6-50C (branched or cyclic) alkyl, a linear alkenyl, an aryl, especially a 28-40C branched alkyl, e.g. Rx, Ry, Rz; R is a 1-6C (branched or cyclic) alkyl or of alkenyl, an aryl, especially a 1-4C alkyl]. The phosphate triester is obtained e.g. by successively adding and reacting approximately 1 mole of a compound of the formula: R -OH, approximately 1 mole of a compound of the formula: R -OH and approximately 1 mole of a compound of the formula: R -OH to 1 mole of an oxyhalogenated phosphorus.

The prescribed compound is obtained by reacting chloroformate ester of the sterol with fluorine containing alcohol in a solvent practically free from water and alcohol (e.g.; chloroform or the like), in the presence of a basic substance such as pyridine or the like, at a reaction temperature of -10-40 deg.C, for 1-3 hours.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleansing composition to which silicone oil is stably formulated, moreover, excellent in cleaning properties and shape retention, easy to handle and giving good sense of use by adding a combination of a specific phosphate salt and a specific oil to a system containing silicone oil. SOLUTION: Silicone oil is combined with dialkyl phosphate salt, hydrocarbon oil or ester oil. As a dialkyl phosphate salt, is preferably cited a compound of the formula (R and R are each a hydrocarbon, M is a n-valent metallic ion; n is 2, 3), for example, calcium diisooctadecyl phosphate. The amount of the dialkyl phosphate salt is preferably 0.1-30wt.%, particularly 3-8wt.%. The hydrocarbon oil is preferably fluid paraffin, while the ester oil is isononyl isononanoate, isopropyl palmitate or the like. Their formulation is preferably 10-98wt.%, particularly 40-80wt.%. The silicone oil is a linear dimethylpolysiloxane of a low degree of polymerization in an amount of about 10-60wt.% based on the whole composition.
