Abstract:
An aliquot-package detergent product comprising an aliquot quantity of a detergent composition containing a nonionic surfactant packed in a water-soluble packaging film, said packaging film comprising an itaconic acid-modified polyvinyl alcohol and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of polymers and copolymers of a mononer having a carboxyl group as a constituent monomer and products of neutralization thereof, wherein the ratios of the absolute water content of the detergent composition and the amount of the nonionic surfactant contained in the detergent composition to the weight of the modified polyvinyl alcohol film fall within specific ranges, respectively.

Fluorine-containing ether cpds. of formula (1) Rf-(CH2)n-O-R1 (Rf=1-20 C perfluoroalkyl, R1=11-20C alkyl; and n=1-8) are new. Used as gel cpds. for solvents, cosmetics, surfactants, or lubricants.
Abstract:
A powdered product is packed in bags made from plastics film which is water soluble. The bags are made from two strips of plastic film which are unwound from a roll (1). The film (7) passes around the periphery of a rotating cylinder (4) where the two strips are bonded together by transverse seams (3) formed by a heat sealing device. The strip (7) then passes between two rollers (5) which seal the edges on one side of the double strip to form a continuous line of bags which are subsequently filled with powder. The water soluable bags enable the exact amount of washing powder to be used. USE - Packing of powder such as washing powder in required quantity.
Abstract:
Ether compounds, which are useful as solvents, cosmetics, detergents, lubricants, emulsifiers and so on, are produced by reacting (a) a hydroxy compound with a carbonyl compound or (b) a carbonyl compound under hydrogen atmosphere in the presence of a catalyst with ease and at a low cost. The reaction is carried out while removing out produced water by using a dehydrating agent during the reaction; by distilling off the water by azeotropic dehydration and the like; or by blowing gases such as hydrogen gas to flow through the reaction system.
