Abstract: A method for producing an encapsulated toner for heat-and-pressure fixing, which has a heat-fusible core material containing at least a thermoplastic resin and a coloring agent and a shell formed thereon so as to cover the surface of the core material, having the steps of coating the surface of the core material with a hydrophilic shell-forming material to form precursor particles; adding at least a vinyl polymerizable monomer and an initiator for vinyl polymerization to an aqueous suspension of the precursor particles to absorb them into the precursor particles; and then polymerizing the monomer components in the precursor particles. The method of the present invention offers toners which not only have improved storage stability but also are excellent in offset resistance, fixable at a low temperature and are further capable of forming clear images free from background.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To drastically simplify transferring and fixing stages, to drastically improve the life and the reliability of a photo-sensitive body and to miniaturize the photosensitive body by giving heat resistance to the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:In the image forming method consisting of an electrostatic charging stage for electrostatically charging the photosensitive body 1, an exposing stage for exposing the photo-sensitive body 1, a developing stage for forming a toner image by sticking toner 10 to an electrostatic latent image formed on transfer film 17 moving in a state where its one part is brought into contact with the photosensitive body 1, the transferring stage for transferring the formed toner image to a recording medium such as recording paper 6, etc., and the fixing stage for fixing the transferred toner image to the recording medium; the toner 10 is a capsule toner whose outer shell is mainly composed of amorphous polyester, the photosensitive body 1 is a heat resistant photosensitive body, and the transferring stage and the fixing stage are simultaneously performed on the surface of the heat resistant photosensitive body through the transfer film 17 by using the preheated recording medium.

CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic development method consists in visualizing the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the photosensitive body by the static electric force of the synthetic toner electrostatically charged within the electric field between the photosensitive body and the developing electrode disposed to face this photosensitive body. The org. photosensitive body contg. the fluorine compd. and/or fluorine-contained resin in the surface layer is used in the above-mentioned electrophotographic development method.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To accomplish fixing at low temperature and with low line pressure and to simplify a fixing device by attaching toner to an electrostatic latent image obtained on an endless film belt, preheating a toner image and transferring and fixing it on a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The toner image is formed by attaching a toner 9 in a developing device 3 to the electrostatic latent image obtained on an insulating endless film belt 7 consisting of fluororesin heat resistant film. The belt 7 rotates and moves to carry the toner image to a transfer and fixing part. Meanwhile, a recording medium 6a or 6b such as a recording paper is carried to fixing rollers 5a and 5b so as to synchronize with the leading edge of the toner image. When the toner on the belt 7 is heated by a preheating means disposed on the inner surface side of the belt 7 while it is carried and pressured in the transfer and fixing part, a core material is discharged and transfer and fixing are performed. The toner used in this method and device is thermal dissociation capsule toner, and the transfer and fixing are performed at 40-120 deg.C.
