    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent unexpected transmission of a message without making malfunction of a code generating circuit even at the time of turning OFF of a switch, by so constituting the titled air conditioner that the transmission of the message from a transmission element becomes possible only under a closed state of the switch of a transmitter. CONSTITUTION:When changeover of operation of a main body 1 of an air conditioner is done by making use of a conventional transmitter 6, a sliding type locking switch 14 is slid to an ON position, to begin with, as for an output from a code generation circuit 16, a modulated coded signal from a transmission element 22 is sent out in the air through the locking switch 14 by turning the signal into light. In case of prevention of a change of the operation of the main body 1 of the air conditioner through unexpected transmission of a message, if the locking switch 14 of the transmitter 6 has been kept slid to an OFF position, it does not happen that even if each of a dial and a button are operated the transmission element 22 is actuated as the locking switch 14 is in a released state in spite of a matter that a coded pulse signal is sent out from a code generating circuit 16.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous operations and to improve the operability in an apparatus that carries out the temperature control of an air conditioner or the like by remote control wirelessly, by constructing the transmitter such that the temperature control is carried out by sliding contact of contact pieces with either pair of contacts. CONSTITUTION:The transmitter has the pairs of contacts 16 oppositely arranged at prescribed temperature controlling positions, the pair of contact pieces 15 that will contact slidably with any pair of the contacts 16, an operation and temperature setting switch 11 positioned between the contact pieces 15, a code generating circuit 11, a transmitting element 23, etc. On the other hand, the receiver in the air conditioner main body includes a receiving circuit 3 having a receiving element 26 for receiving signals transmitted from the transmitting element 23 and a decoder 29, a temperature setting circuit 39 for setting a temperature corresponding to said temperature controlling position by the output thereof and having a plurality of temperature setting resistors 33a through 33e that will be switched by an analogue switch 37, an operation switching circuit 43, etc.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To clarify the intermediate state to perform proper temperature display, by flashing a display element at a certain period for switching from a temperature to the next temperature. CONSTITUTION:When the room temperature is, for example, 27 deg.C, thermistor 9 detects it, and outputs Q1 and Q2 of level indicator IC35 become low-level, and light emission diode 11b is lit. When the resistance value of thermistor 9 is changed by the cooling operation, outputs Q1, Q2 and Q3 of level indicator IC35 become low- level, and light emission diode 11b is extinguished, and light emission diode 11c is lit. In this switching stage, light emission diodes 11b and 11c repeat lighting alternately continuously because of the switching hysteresis of level indicator IC35. The repeat period of this lighting is different by the state of the room temperature.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the heat shok occurring due to a large difference in the temperature between indoors and outdoors by controlling the compressor etc. on the base of the data of the indoor temperature determinator, which is to be changed when the outdoor temperature exceeds a predetermined value, and thereby amending the set value of the indoor temperature automatically. CONSTITUTION:An indoor temperature determinator 1 and thermisters 2 and 3 for sensing the indoor and outdoor temperature are provided. When the outdoor temperture rises up to a predetermined value TA, the voltage data of the thermister 3 is compared with the reference voltage of a D-A transformer 7. On the base of this comparison, a micro computer 8 operates logically according to a predetermined programme comprising digital data which correspond to the indoor temperature amendment, i.e. DELTAT and digital data which correspond to the temperature at which a compressor should be switched on or off, and thereby amends the latter digital data.
