Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the danger of explosion and/or fire and permit the production of the title box body safely by a method wherein the heat insulation box, utilized for a refrigerator and the like, is constituted of an outer casing, hard urethane foam utilizing hydrocarbon as a foaming agent, and an inner casing, made by forming an antistatic ABS resin composition. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulation box 1 is constituted of an inner casing 2, formed of an antistatic ABS resin composition, an outer casing 3, formed of steel sheets and covering the inner casing 2, and foamed heat insulating material 4, consisting of hard urethane foam and filled into a space between the inner casing 2 and the outer casing 3. Hydrocarbon or pentane or cyclopentane is used for the foaming agent of the foamed heat insulating material 4. According to this method, a problem that the inner casing 2 is charged with static electricity during foaming the hard urethane foam is eliminated while the fear of ignition and/or explosion of the hard urethane foam can be eliminated even when flamable hydrocarbon is employed as the foaming agent. Further, a foaming agent, taking place of chlorofluorocarbon having the problem of destructing the ozone layer of the globe, is permitted to be used safely.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition capable of imparting water- repellency to the surface of a coating substrate by dispersing specific inorganic or organic fine particles in a solution composed of a resin compound giving a dried and cured coating film surface having a water contact angle of larger than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The objective coating composition is produced by dispersing (A) inorganic or organic fine particles capable of forming small unevenness satisfying the formulas L>=0.2mum and D/0.5L>=0.5 on a cured coating film surface wherein D is depth of the unevenness and L is peak-to-peak distance of the protrusions in (B) a solution of a resin compound such as silicone resin capable of giving a dried and cured coating surface having a water contact angle of >=90 deg.. The heat-exchanger is obtained by applying the above composition to a number of plate fins parallelly arranged at regular spacings to pass air stream through the spaces and to heat-conduction pipes perpendicularly passed through the plate fins.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate an increase in ventilation resistance due to storage of droplets even in a heat exchanger of a structure in which fin groups of rows at gas input and output sides are divided by providing water repelling process on the surfaces of fins, and providing hydrophilic process at the ends of the fins of the input and output sides. CONSTITUTION:Since the temperature of gas A input from an air upstream side of a heat exchanger is higher than the evaporating temperature of refrigerant flowing in the exchanger, when it is dehumidified so that the surface of a fin and a fin collar around a heat transfer tube become a dew point temperature or lower of the gas A, dew-condensed water 9 is generated. In this case, since the fins of the fin group 7 of the row of gas A input side is provided with a water repelling process, a time from when the water 9 is held in a droplet state and to when the condensed water is iced can be extended. Since the fin end 7' of the downstream side of the gas is provided with hydrophilic process, the water 9 moved by the air is extended to the end 7' at the downstream side of the gas, and its ventilation resistance is not raised. Accordingly, the water moved to the output side is not held in a gap between the fin groups of the rows of the input and output sides, and the resistance is not raised.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase water repellency remarkably by a method wherein coating is constituted of solution, consisting of silicone or fluorine resin compound, and inorganic powder, whose surface is processed by hydrophobic treatment. CONSTITUTION:Composition for water repellent coating, constituted of solution, consisting of silicone or fluorine resin compound, and inorganic powder bodies, whose surface is processed by hydrophobic treatment, is applied on the surface of plate-type fins to obtain a desired heat exchanger. According to this method, water drops, aggregated on the surfaces of the fins are rolled down whereby clogging between fins due to frosting of the heat exchanger of a heat pump air-conditioner is delayed and the deterioration of the cooling capacity and the heating capacity of the heat pump can be reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit the formation of a coating composition capable of imparting a higher water-repellency by a method wherein a water-repellent coating composition has, solution consisting of silicon resin or fluororesin compounds and a porous surface and the solution is admixed with inorganic or organic particles having a specific size in diameter. CONSTITUTION:A water-repellent coating composition has a solution consisting of silicon resin or fluororesin compounds and a porous surface and this solution is admixed with inorganic or organic particles having a size of not more than 4mum in diameter. When fine particles are added to the water-repellent resin, in addition to the surface repellency created by the water-repellent resins, the fine surface irregularities of the fine particles make the contact ares of liquid droplets smaller, lower substantially the adhesive force between the liquid droplets and the surface of a fin and enhance the water-repellency. When the inorganic or organic particles having a size of not more than 4mum in diameter are added, this morphological effect is exerted to the maximum possible extent. As the particulate additive, polymethyl methacrylate is used. The formation of such coating composition as a layer on the surface of plate- like fin of an heat exchanger makes the attachment of the water droplets thereto difficult, leading to the improvement of the ability of the heat exchanger.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can impart higher water repellancy by mixing inorganic or organic finely divided particles which have a specific surface area (m /g) or more with a solution comprising a silicone or fluororesin compound. CONSTITUTION:The title composition is produced by blending inorganic or organic finely divided particles which have a specific surface of 25 m /g or more (e.g. an inorganic silica or polymethyl methacrylate) with a solution comprising a silicone or fluororesin compound. On the surface of the base material coated with the above composition, because of the fine irregularities formed by the inorganic or organic finely divided particles, in addition to the water repellent effect of the silicone or fluororesin, the contact area of the surface with water drops becomes small and the water repellancy become remarkably high. Also, by applying the composition to the surface of fins of a heat exchanger, the fine water drops can roll down.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can impart higher water repellancy by blending a specific amount of inorganic finely divided particles having hydrophobic surfaces and which have a specific average particle diameter and a specific surface area with a solution containing a silicone or fluororesin compound. CONSTITUTION:The title composition is produced by blending inorganic finely divided particles which have a specific surface area of 50 m /g or more, an average particle diameter of 4 mum or less and hydrophobic surfaces with a solution comprising a silicone or fluororesin compound so that the ratio of the particles to the solid component in the solution may be 10-40 wt.%. On the surface of the base material coated with the above composition, because of the fine irregularities formed by the inorganic finely divided particles, in addition to the water-repellent effect of the silicone or fluororesin, the contact area of the surface with waterdrops becomes small and the water repellancy becomes remarkably high. Also, by applying the composition to the surface of platelike fins of a heat exchanger, the condensed waterdrops roll down, so that the fin area can be increased by decreaseing the distance between the platelike fins, and therefore the thermal efficiency is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a decrease in room heating and cooling capacity of a heat pump by employing a fin material provided with a thin film to follow rough surface of an aluminum film material having an uneven parts of specific surface roughness as a fin material for a heat exchanger on the fin material. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum fin material for a heat exchanger is composed of an aluminum alloy plate imparted with surface roughness of 0.2 - 5mum to its surface, and a water repellent thin film so coated as to follow the uneven part of the surface. Thus, since droplets adhered to the surface are easily rolled to be dropped without remain due to small contact of the droplet with the surface in addition to the water repellent effect of the thin film, a fin material for a heat exchanger having high performance can be obtained. For example, carbon tetrafluoride plasma polymerized coating resin film is formed on an aluminum alloy plate added directly with an uneven part on its surface to obtain an aluminum film material. In this case, the rough surface may be formed by rolling or ceramic coating, or a coating may be formed of a LB film, by a sputtering, a depositing method.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a container capable of knowing whether or not a beverage to be purchased is heated to desired temp. by providing a thermometric material changing color according to the temp. of the outer surface of a container. CONSTITUTION:A can-shaped container having coffee housed therein is formed of a conductive material and pref. composed of a metal material based on iron in order to receive high frequency induction heating more efficiently. The container 1 is arranged in an induction heating coil 2 in an erected state and generated magnetic flux is formed in the up-and-down direction A of the container 1 and an eddy current is generated at a right angle B to the magnetic flux. By this method, the beverage in the container 1 is heated. A thermometric material 5 is provided to the outer surface of the container and formed from paint using a mercury iodide complex such as Ag2HgI4 having discoloration temp. of 50 deg.C as temp. showing pigment. When the container 1 is heated by a heater 2, the thermometric material 5 changes color to make it possible to inform the temp. of the container to the person purchasing the container and the beverage container not hot enough is not purchased.
