    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a bright and transparent blue color image without fog and to obtain a copy having good light resistance by using a dye of specified compsn. for a piece-dyeing blue color toner. CONSTITUTION:The dye for a piece-dyeing blue color toner is expressed by formula, and the dye is used for the color toner. In formula, X and Y are oxygen atoms or NH groups, R is a hydrogen atom or alkyl or phenyl group which may have substituents. The blue color toner is obtd. by dyeing a toner resin by using the blue color dye expressed by formula and a nonion or anion dispersant. As for the auxiliaries, a nonion or anion dispersant is used. The dispersant to be used to dye the piece-dyeing color toner must be colorless or slightly colored because if the dispersant itself is colored, decoloration is not completely performed although a water-washing process or the like is included.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer sheet excellent in sublimation speed, color value, saturation, light fastness and storage stability by improving the solubility to a solvent and a binder resin by adding one or more kind of a specific pyridone compound and one or more kind of a quinone compound. CONSTITUTION:One or more kind of a dye represented by formula (I) (wherein Ar is a phenyl group which may have a substituent, and R is an alkyl group which may have a substituent) unsatisfactory in the solubility to the solvent in ink and one or more kind of a dye represented by formula (II) (wherein X1, X2 and X3 are respectively independently a hydrogen atom or a phenylthio group which may have a substituent and at least one of them is not a hydrogen atom) slightly unsatisfactory in redness as lemon yellow are added to transfer sheet. By this method, since the solubility of the dyes to the solvent and binder resin in the ink used at the time of the coating of the transfer sheet becomes well, the storage stability of the dyes of the sheet becomes well. The sublimation speed by the heating due to a thermal head is improved and the hue transferred to image receiving paper is yellow of the printing three primary colors and reduced in turbidity and enhanced in color value. Further, the light fastness and storage stability of the transferred image receiving paper also become well.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a dyestuff satisfying the requirements of heat resistance, light fastness, speed of sublimation, hue and ribbon stability by using a cyan color heat- sensitive sublimation transfer type dyestuff expressed by a specific formula. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive sublimation transfer sheet is obtained by containing at least one or two kinds or more of cyan color heat-sensitive sublimation transfer type dyestuffs expressed by a general formula (I) and dyestuffs selected from the group of said dyestuffs expressed by the general formula (I). Because the sublimation transfer quantity of cyan color dyestuffs shown by the general formula (I) can be controlled by the change of energy given to thermal heat at the time of thermal transfer, gradation recording is easily performed by the use of the dyestuffs, which are therefore suitable for full-color recording. Further, because these dyestuffs are stable to heat, light, moisture, chemicals, etc., they are not pyrolyzed during transfer recording and the keeping quality of the obtained record is also excellent. These dyestuffs are satisfactory in the solubility in an organic solvent and dispersibility in water so that uniformly dissolved or dispersed ink is adjusted easily and a record excellent in color and concentration can be obtained consequently.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To control sublimable transfer amount of dye and to facilitate gradation recording by altering energy to be applied to a heat sensitive head at the time of heat transfer by using specific cyan dye. CONSTITUTION:Sublimation transfer speed relates to mutual action among dye molecules, and to mutual action between dye molecules and ink binder resin. The dye having satisfactory solubility to ink solvent and lower melting point is desired, and the dye having mutual action to the binder resin for ink to be small in the degree not lose preservation stability after a ribbon is manufactured is most desirable. Dye represented by a general formula (I) obtains relatively satisfactory sublimating speed. In the formula, R1 is cyano group, alkoxycarbonyl group, R2, R3 are lower alkyl group, alkoxy group, alkenyl group, R4 is hydrogen atom, lower alkyl group, halogen atom, etc., X is hydrogen atom, lower alkyl group, alkoxy group, and Y is hydrogen atom, lower alkyl group, alkylcarbonylamino group, halogen atom, etc.
