    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make stability of shelf life of coloring matter in a binder on a transfer sheet good by a method wherein a thermal transfer layer containing black coloring matter for thermal transfer recording in which orange coloring matter of a specific structure and blue coloring matter of a specific structure are mixed, is provided on a base material. CONSTITUTION:Ink is prepared by dissolving or dispersing coloring matter for thermal transfer recording wherein respective specific amounts of orange coloring matter expressed by the formula I (Ar1, Ar2, Ar3 express an aryl group) and blue coloring matter expressed by the formula II (R1, R2, R3 express a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a hydroxy group, an alkyl group, etc., and R4, R5 express an alkyl group.) are mixed, together with binder resin in an organic solvent. A thermal transfer layer is laminated by coating and drying that ink on a base material of condenser paper, a plastic film, etc., and a transfer sheet is formed. After superimposing the transfer sheet on a material to be recorded, the transfer sheet is heated and pressurized from a rear surface of the transfer sheet with a thermal recording head to transfer the coloring matter on the transfer sheet onto the material to be recorded.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain dyestuffs and an ink composition for thermal transfer recording having high sublimating speed and excellent image stability after transfer by using dyestuffs being shown in specific chemical formula and having superior solubility to an ink solvent and the low melting point as sublimating dyestuffs for thermal transfer recording. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer recording system using sublimating dyestuffs, a transfer sheet, in which condenser paper, a PET FILM, etc., are coated with sublimating dyestuffs changed into ink, is employed, and the transfer sheet is heated selectively by a thermal head, thus conducting transfer to recording paper. Dyestuffs shown in general formula mentioned on the right are used as the sublimating dyestuffs at that time. In formula, R , R represent a hydrogen atom, a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkenyl group, a aralkyl group, R , R the hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a substituted or non-substituted alkoxy carbonyl group, etc., and X O or NH. The dyestuffs are kneaded with a binder resin, an organic solvent, etc., thus acquiring an ink composition for thermal transfer recording.
