    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a bright and transparent blue color image without fog and to obtain a copy having good light resistance by using a dye of specified compsn. for a piece-dyeing blue color toner. CONSTITUTION:The dye for a piece-dyeing blue color toner is expressed by formula, and the dye is used for the color toner. In formula, benzene rings A and B may have substituents, and R1 and R2 are hydrogen atoms, alkyl or aryl groups which may have substituents. The blue color toner is obtd. by dyeing a toner resin by using the blue color dye expressed by formula and a nonion or anion dispersant. As for the auxiliaries, a nonion or anion dispersant is used. The dispersant to be used to dye the piece-dyeing color toner must be colorless or slightly colored because if the dispersant itself is colored, decoloration is not completely performed although a water-washing process or the like is included.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a magenta pigment for sublimation thermal transfer recording which is excellent in solubility, ribbon reserving-stability, dyeing property, durability, and light fastness by a specific compound which is obtained by diazotizing 4-substitution-2, 6-dibromoaniline, effecting a coupling reaction with various kinds of aniline and cyanizing it. CONSTITUTION:The title pigment is composed of a compound expressed by the formula I (R expresses an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, R expresses an alkyl group, an aryl group, a halogenoalkyl group, R expresses an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyalkyl group, a cyanoalkyl group, an alkylcarboxyalkyl group, the halogenoalkyl group, X expresses H, an alkoxy group, and Y expresses H, an alkoxy group, an alkylcarbonylamino group, an alkylsulfonylamino group.). This pigment is excellent in solubility, ribbon- reserving stability, dyeing property, durability, and light fastness.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a color toner having excellent melt miscibility with which picture images of continuous copies obtd. by repeated development have stable density, bright red color, and good light resistance, by using a specified dye for a red color toner. CONSTITUTION:A negative charge color toner is obtd. by incorporating a dye for a red color toner expressed by formula preferably by 0.1-10 pts.wt. to the binder resin. The compd. of formula shows a bright red color and is singly used as a coloring dye for a red toner, or two or more kinds of compds. of formula are compounded to give a red color. As for a charge controlling agent to be added to improve the electrification property of this color toner is preferably a coloress compd. so as not to change the color tone of the toner, and for example, bis(4-t-butylsalicylic acid) chromium (2) complex, N- octadecylpyridinium chloride, tetraoctyl ammonium chloride, etc., are used. In formula, X is a halogen atom or OR.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain fast recording having sufficient color density by incorporating at least one or more kind of a dye component selected from a specific dye group. CONSTITUTION:A dye represented by general formula (I) is obtained by reacting specific pyrroles with 1.0 - 1.5mol. of tetracyanoethylene at 40 - 80 deg.C, for exam ple, in a polar solvent such as dimethylformamide. Thermal transfer recording ink is prepared by mixing this dye with a proper resin and a proper solvent. The amount of the dye in the thermal transfer recording ink in this case is usually 2 - 5wt.%. Since the dye represented by the general formula I has a sharp yellow color, it is suitable for obtaining a full color in combination with a magenta dye and a cyan dye. In this case, since the solubility of the dye component having this yellow color to the resin and solvent used at the time of the preparation of a transfer sheet can be enhanced according to circumstances by mixing other dye with the dye component, other yellow dye other than this dye may be mixed, if necessary.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a yellow color which melts with resin or a solvent component satisfactorily, sublimates into an image receiving element and enables color-fast records to be obtained with adequate color density by using a specific color for sublimable thermal recording. CONSTITUTION:Pyridoneazo color expressed by formula (I) is used alone or with another yellow component if necessary, as a yellow component. In the formula, R1, R2 are a substituted or a non-substituted alkyl group, R2 is a hydro gen atom, a substituted or a non-substituted alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a halogen atom. The color is mixed with any appropriate resin and solvent to manufacture an ink for thermal transfer recording. In this case, the color dosage in the ink is normally 2 to 5 weight%. The transfer sheet is manufac tured by applying a color ink containing this color to the surface of a transfer base. As the pyridoneazo color shown by the formula (I) is a sharp yellow, a full color can be obtained by combining the phyridoneazo color with clors magenta and cyan.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain color copies having satisfactory dyeing and coloring properties and also superb color fastness by adding specific vilydon blending colors. CONSTITUTION:A yellow thermally sublimable transfer sheet contains more than one type each of color expressed by formula (I) (in the formula, R1 is an alkyl group braching to alpha position, R2 is a lower alkylene group, R3 is an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group and a substituted or a non-substituted aryl group) and a color expressed by formula (II) (in the formula, R4 is an alkyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group and R5 is an alkyl group). The blending ratio of compounds expressed by the formulae (I)(II) depends on the assortment of colors with yellow. The transfer sheet is manufactured by applying ink for thermal transfer consisting of colors, binder resin and a solvent to a transfer sheet base. In this case, the amount of colors in the ink for thermal transfer recording is normally 2 to 5 weight%.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure favorable dyeing properties and color forming properties and make it possible to obtain a color copy with excellent fastness, by incorporating two kinds of coloring matters having predetermined respective compositions. CONSTITUTION:At least one coloring matter of formula I and at least one coloring matter of formula II are blended. In formula I, R1 is an alkyl, alkoxyl or alkoxyalkyl group or a halogen. In formula II, R2 is hydrogen, an alkyl, alkoxyl or alkoxyalkyl group or a halogen. Examples of R1 and R2 in formulas I and II include such alkyl groups as methyl and ethyl, such alkoxyl groups as methoxyl and ethoxyl, and such alkoxyalkyl groups as methoxyethyl and ethoxyethyl. It is particularly preferable that R1 in formula I and R2 in formula II be at the m-position, from the viewpoint of solubility of the coloring matter. It is thereby possible to ensure favorable dyeing properties and color forming properties and to obtain a color copy with excellent fastness.
