    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may expand a neighbor list available to the UE to avoid neighbor information error caused by an unexpected leakage of distant time division synchronous code division multiple access (TD-SCDMA) cells. The neighbor list, may be expanded by combining previously received neighbor information with currently received neighbor information. In some instances, a new serving cell may be selected from the previously received neighbor list instead of the currently received neighbor list.

    Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for communication are provided in connection with improving frequency scanning during cell acquisition in a TD-SCDMA based network. In one example, a communications device is equipped to determine that one or more primary frequencies from a primary frequency list are missing in an acquisition list, append the acquisition list to include the one or more primary frequencies from the primary frequency list, and scan frequencies included in the acquisition list as part of a cell acquisition process. In an aspect, the primary frequency list may include one or more primary frequencies used in a multi-frequency TD-SCDMA based network.

    Abstract: A method to improve the sending of scheduling information, particularly for Time Division-High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (TD-HSUPA) operation is described. When T-WAIT is configured at a large value which is above a threshold, and when the UE transitions from having a grant to not having a grant, and the TEBS is larger than zero, if the UE does not receive a grant within a time window, the UE may send scheduling information via the E-RUCCH without waiting for the T-WAIT timer to expire.
