Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten the time for measurement by providing arithmetic means for calculating the shape of spectra by specific equation from a change in respective picture element outputs of a photodetector during the movement of spectra. CONSTITUTION:The movement of the spectral image by about 50mum picture element component on the photodetector 3 by 10 deg. oscillation of a glass plate 4 if the average inclination with a central optical path toward the center of a diffraction grating 1 is previously and adequately adjusted through an inlet slit 2 of a quartz glass plate 4. A pulse motor 7 is driven and the output of the photodetector 3 is taken in via an interface 9 at every movement of the spectral image by 10mum, i.e. 0.2nm in wavelength. The computation to calculate the spectral intensity at every 0.2nm wavelength after the end of the spectral movement by 1nm is executed by the equation {where (i) is a picture element number (1 to n); (k) is sampling order; pik is the k-th sampling data of the i-th picture element; S(lambdai, k)is the spectral intensity at wavelength lambdai, k}.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity necessary for a storage device by processing the measurement data of a multichannel detector by Hadamard transformation and then storing it in the storage device. CONSTITUTION:A photodiode array 22 is driven by a driving circuit 24 and signals of respective photodetecting elements are led out in order and sent out to a preamplifier 26. The detection signals amplified by the preamplifier 26 are inputted to a CPU 30 through an A/D converter 28. The CPU 30 corrects the input measurement data by dark current correction, background correction, etc., performs the Hadamard transformation, and stores the resulting data in the memory 32. Further, the CPU reads the data out of the memory 32, performs reverse Hadamard transformation, and displays the data on a CRT 34.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To correct the influence of the secondary light of a diffraction grating and to perform measurement from the ultraviolet-ray range to the visible light range at a time by a single light source by measuring the detection spectrum of an array type detector in the presence and absence of a filter respectively. CONSTITUTION:The filter 14 which has monotonous transmissivity is provided detachably between a light source 2 and a spectrometer 6, in concrete, between the light source 2 and a flow cell 4. Then the detection spectrum of the array type detector 8 provided at the exit position of the spectrometer 6 is measured in the presence and absence of the filter 14. The real spectrum I0(lambda) is calculated from I0(lambda)=I(lambda)-K(lambda/2)I(lambda/2) and K(lambda/2)=[I(lambda)T(lambda)-I'(lambda)]/{I(lambda/2)[T(lambda)-T(l ambda/2)]}, where I0(lambda) is the real spectrum in a wavelength range where there is the influence of the secondary light, I(lambda) the apparent spectrum measured value under the influence of the secondary light in the absence of the filter, and I'(lambda) the measured spectrum in the presence of the filter. Here, lambda is the wavelength and T(lambda) is the transmissivity of the filter.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform the conversion of the logarithm for the real time with respect to the input signal by providing the memory to store the logarithm conversion value of the numeric at the address equivalent to the numeric converted to the logarithm. CONSTITUTION:An A/D converter 2 converts an analog input signal A to a digital signal at a fully high speed for the change speed. A signal input means 6 inputs the digital signal from the A/D converter 2, and then, a conversion means 8 converts the input signal to the address. On the other hand, the logarithm conversion value of the numeric is stored in the address equivalent to the numeric converted to the logarithm at a memory 4. By reading the memory 4 by the address from the conversion means 8, a data read means 10 outputs the contents stored in the address as a logarithm conversion value for the analog input.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To express numerically the coincidence degree of two spectrum pattern to appreciate objectively the coincidence by expressing the degree of the coincidence by the cosine value of an angle formed by respective vectors corresponding to respective spectra having relative intensity at plural set wavelength values for two spectra as an element. CONSTITUTION:In case of spectra of different substances, the directions o two vectors Aa, Ab are different each other, and in case of the spectra of the same substance, the vectors Aa, Ab have the same direction and the angle theta formed by the respective vectors Aa, Ab becomes zero. When theta=0 is substituted for the equation I, the absorbing spectra having the equal patterns and obtained from the same substance becomes costheta=1, and in accordance with the increase of the angle theta, i.e. the approach of the angle theta to x/2, the cos theta approaches zero. Consequently, the costheta can be adopted as the appreciation value R of the coincidence degree of the spectrum patterns.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To inhibit errors by enabling the calibration of a sample signal on a reference signal and a dark signal after the sample signal, the reference signal and the dark signal are obtained distinguished in time division. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 25 which monitors output signals of a photomicrosensor 19 provides a start signal SRT thereto as soon as turned ON but ignores a series of output signals obtained thereafter and then, after 60msec, it provides a start signal SRT thereto again to memorize a series of output signals subsequently obtained as data for reference signal. The ignoring of the initial series of output signals is required because these signals contain an integrated value when a light shielding portion 7b is on the optical path (l), hence, meaning a deficiency in the data. Then, the microcomputer 25 obtains and memorizes data for a sample signal by the same operation. The microcomputer 25 calculates the absorbance Alambda from data for the dark signal, reference signal and sample signal by the expression. The value Alambda thus obtained is memorized as spectrum or outputted to a recorder (not illustrated) as chromatogram.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable to clarify whether a peak of a chromatograph is produced by a single component or a plural number of components, by a method wherein a relative ratio at the same point of time of a plural number of detecting outputs is computed to display it in a time-passing manner. CONSTITUTION:Through irradiation of a flow cell 3 with 5 types of wavelength lights from a sequence spectrum light source 1, absorbance vector data of 5 empty cells 3 corresponding to 5 wavelengths, absorbance vector data by the cells 3 and a carrier, and absorbance vector data containing also a sample at each scanning are read via a photo diode array 7 into memories M1, M2, and M3, respectively. Based on the contents of the memories M1-M3, a computing circuit Cu counts a ratio of an absorbance vector data of a sample component to an absorbance vector absolute value data of a sample to plot it in a timing manner in a recorder R. The display of a ratio, being constant and not changing in the case of the single component, clarifies whether a peak of a chromatograph is produced by a single component or a plural number of components, so that it can be determined at a glance.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance an S/N ratio and to improve sensitivity by setting a scanning range of specified wavelength in a sample absorbing region, obtaining absorbance of each wavelength in said range, performing integration, and drawing the chromatogram. CONSTITUTION:The wavelengths lambda1 and lambda2 of both ends in the suitable range of the absorption spectrum of a material to be detected are set in a control device 10. Only carrier fluid is flowed through a flow cell 3. The output of a unit element of a photodiode array 7 is read out, digitized, and stored in a memory M1. Then the sample is introduced, and the output of an array 7 is stored in a memory M2. Then, these contents are subtracted in a subtracting circuit 11, and the chromatogram is drawn on a recorder 13 through a computing circuit 12. Since the absorbance is integrated through the main range of the absorption spectrum, noises are offset and averaged, the S/N ratio can be enhanced, and the detecting sensitivity can be improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently acquire answer information related with question information in a scientific field while considering the security maintenance of a question information presenting side. SOLUTION: In this system, a question information with public offering/public non-offering designation is supplied from a questioning side computer 1 to a host computer 3. The host computer 3 applies the question information with public offering designation to a wide range of both questioning side and answering side computer 1 and 2, and applies the question information with public non-offering designation to a narrow range of only the questioning side computer 1 from which the question information is inputted and the answering side computer 2 without applying it to the other questioning side computer 1. Also, when answer retrieval information is transmitted from the questioning side computer 1 to the host computer 3, the answer information supplied from the answering side computer 2 can be received through a communication line 4. Thus, it is possible to efficiently acquire the answer information corresponding to the question information while considering the security maintenance of the question information presenting side.
