Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop surely a disk cartridge at the prescribed position without moving it in the transverse direction.
SOLUTION: This is a disk cartridge 1 with an information recording medium 2 contained inside freely rotatably. This disk cartridge is constituted so that a front end plane 4 of the disk cartridge is continued to an arc type plane 13 and both sides of the arc type plane 13, and it has a first flat plane 14 of a direction orthogonal to a cartridge inserting direction, and a second flat plane 15. At least either of the first flat plane 14 and the second flat plane 15 is used as an abutting plane of a cartridge positioning member of the recording and reproducing device.

SOLUTION: On a rear end side for a suspension 4, a boss 12, projecting toward the direction with the side on which a magnetic head 3 is arranged, is installed, and on a frontal end side for an arm body 5, a suspension fixing part 13 with 14 holes, to which the boss 12 is inserted, is formed. The boss 12 for one suspension 4 is inserted to the 14 holes from an upper end part and the boss 12 for the other suspension 4 is inserted to the 14 holes from a lower end part. The arm body 5 is fixed by being pinched with two suspensions 4 both from upper and lower sides.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adapt a second disk cartridge to a floppy disk apparatus comformed to a first disk cartridge, by providing an adapter having a lateral width in conformity with a standard of the first disk cartridge and comprising a holding means of the inserted second disk cartridge. SOLUTION: An adapter 20 is formed of plastic in a schematically U shape with holding parts 20a, 20b directed slightly inward so as to hold corresponding end parts of side faces 21a, 21b of a 3.5-inch floppy disk cartridge 21. A groove 20c corresponding to a lower end 21c of the cartridge 21 is formed at the inside of the adapter 20. A lateral width of the adapter 20 is made equal to a lateral width of a large capacity floppy disk cartridge. Accordingly, after the cartridge 21 is inserted in the adapter 20, the cartridge 21 is held by the groove 20c and holding parts 20a, 20b. Since the lateral width of the large capacity floppy disk cartridge is the same as a longitudinal width thereof, the adapter can cope with floppy disks conforming to the large capacity floppy disk cartridge. Floppy disks conforming to the large capacity floppy disk cartridge can be handled in the 3.5-inch floppy disk cartridge 21.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve assembling workability and reliability for connection by inserting a connector at the tip of a flexible printed board drawn out from a circuit board to the terminal of the coil of an electromagnetic means after the electromagnetic means is assembled. CONSTITUTION:The connector 32 is mounted at the tip 31a of the flexible printed board 31 drawn out from a prescribed circuit board 41 mounted at the inside or outside of a chassis in advance. After the electromagnetic means 15 is assembled in the tip of a mounting plate 10, the connector 32 at the tip 31a of the board 31 is inserted to the pair of terminals 44 of a pair of coils 14. Thereby, a part between both terminals 44 and the board 41 can be connected electrically with the board 31 and the connector 32. The board 31 and the connector 32 are separated sufficiently to a position not disturbing the assembling work of the electromagnetic means 15 while it is being performed, and the connector 32 is inserted to the terminals 44, therefore, no disturbance for the work occurs, which improves the assembling workability.
