    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from being drawn out excessively, and to thin the whole of a device, by engaging a gear having a plane clutch with the gear on one side of the gears provided at a supplying reel base and a take-up reel base in a magnetic recording and reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:The gear 14 having the plane clutch 13 is engaged with the gear 6 provided at the take-up reel base 2, and the braking device of the reel base is extended in the horizontal direction of a chassis 1. And by rewinding the tape from a state where the connecting part 20a of a stopper 20 is connected to the connecting lug 16a of a clutch plate 16 by a driving mechanism, the appropriate level of loading torque is applied on the gear 14 by surface contact between the felt of the clutch plate 16 whose accompanying rotation with the gear 14 is stopped by the stopper 20, and the friction surface of the gear 14 driven with pressure to the felt side by a compression coil spring. Therefore, the appropriate level of braking is applied on the gear 6 of the take-up reel base 2 being engaged with the gear 14, thereby, the run idle of the take-up reel base 2 at time of rewinding the tape can be suppressed.

The 2nd driving part permits a precise tracking servo.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp a magnetic fluid in utilizing a leakage magnetic flux of a disk chucking magnet and to confine the magnetic fluid in its position. SOLUTION: A shaft 16 is inserted into a cylindrical body 30, and a viscous fluid 32 is sealed between this shaft and the cylindrical body to form a fluid bearing part 40. A fluid sealing 50 is provided on an upper end side of the fluid bearing part. This means is composed of recessed annular parts 54 and 55 and a magnetic fluid 61 sealed in a gap between them. Magnetic flux passing through a cylinder body 21 by the recessed annular parts becomes easily leakable in these parts, and the leakage magnetic flux is grasped to be confined in the recessed annular parts. A passage for passing the recessed annular parts is interrupted by the confinement of the fluid in virtue of this magnetic flux, so that the fluid 32 and the magnetic fluid itself are never leaked to the outside. Since a magnet to be exclusively used for attracting the magnetic fluid is not required, the structure can be miniaturized and thin structive by a space for this magnet.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate various inconveniences caused by adhesives for attaching a center core in a cartridge disk having the center core attached to a disk substrate. SOLUTION: A center core includes first and second cores 13a and 13b, a disk substrate 11 is elastically held from upper and lower sides between these cores and thus the center core is easily attached without using any adhesives different from the conventional case. Various inconveniences caused by timedepending changes in the adhesives are eliminated, and in particular since the disk substrate 11 and the center core are freely extended without being bound against a temperature change, the disk substrate 11 is prevented from being deformed for a long time.

A drive mechanism for performing reading/writing using a disk-shaped storage that is accommodated rotatably can be made thin and a device can be made light, while preventing the strength of the device body from deteriorating.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a read/write head surely and stably for an information receding medium by bending and forming a rotation arm in nearly L shape, and providing a rotation center near a rotation drive part. SOLUTION: A rotation support member for supporting a read/write head is mounted to a rotation arm 55 and the tip of the rotation arm and has a pair of upper and lower sliders 52a and 52b for supporting the read/write head. Also, the rotation arm 55 is bend and formed in nearly L-shaped, dog leg shape, sliders 52a and 52b of an elastic support are fixed to the tip part of the flex before being inserted into a disk cartridge nearly linearly from the tip, thus performing support by a lamp 91. The sliders 52a and 52b move stably to enable an accurate correspondence of the read/write head.
