Abstract: An automatic focusing system includes a photo-sensitive element for receiving light passing a main lens system of a camera. The photo-sensitive element produces a distance indicative signal based on the received light. The main lens system is driven to a position to focus upon an object on the basis of the distance indicative signal from the photo-sensitive element. The system is also provided with an auxiliary light generating element for emitting an auxiliary light to the object. The auxiliary light generating element is activated while distance measurement is performed for focusing operation in order to enable the automatic focusing system to perform a distance measurement and focus upon the object even in dark environmental conditions or upon dark objects. The auxiliary light generating element may be selected to emit an infrared light beam or a far infrared light beam.

Abstract: The iris drive mechanism (1) has two diaphragms (13,15) which are opened and/or closed by a first lever (9) rotated by an ideal gyrator (IG) meter (5) and a second lever (17) in which an engagement hole (17A) with which an output shaft (5A) of the IG meter is engaged, and an engagement pin (17B) engaged into an oblong hole (9B) formed through the first lever, and a rotary shaft (11) to which the first lever is rotatably supported. The first lever (9) is rotated through the second lever (17) by the IG meter. Therefore, when an aperture is small, a resolution of the F number can be increased, and this can enhance the automatic exposure control performance.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetoresistance element sensor, which decrases the effect of the leaking magnetic field of a driving magnet and can improve the assembling property of the magnetoresistance element sensor. SOLUTION: This magnetoresistance element sensor 30 is arranged in the equipment having a driving magnet 8 and a measuring magnet 9 used for the detection of a position and the detection of an angle and detects the change in magnetic field of the measuring magnet 9 with the change in magnetoresistance. In this case, the part of the measuring magnet 9 facing the magnetoresistance element sensor 30 is opened, and a leaking-magnetic-field passing means 40 comprising soft magnetic material for passing the leaking magnetic field of the driving magnet 8 is provided.
