    Abstract: PURPOSE: To selectively display OHP image and video image on a screen with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A video image modulating means 11 is fitted to a light source 2 and a projecting optical system 10A so that the projected light L1 projected from the light source 2 is formed into parallel beams, and the projected light L1 is modulated to the space light in response to the video image so as to generate the image light L3 of the video image. This image light L3 of the video image is condensed and led to the projecting optical system 10A, and the image light L3 of the video image is projected for display.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To quickly and easily adjust calibration by realizing the automatic adjustment of the calibration in a projection type picture display device. CONSTITUTION:Reflecting patterns 1g-1j are formed in a non-plotting area on one plane surface of a liquid crystal light valve and a means which detects reflected light when the reflecting patterns are scanned by laser light is provided. From positional information which should be obtained when the reflecting patterns are scanned by the laser light and positional information which is obtained from the reflected light detected by the scanning of the reflecting patterns, the information of the positional deviation of the liquid crystal light valve and the laser light is detected. Based on the information of the positional deviation, the scanning system of the laser light is controlled so as to cancel the positional deviation.

Further, the tube 5 coated with the metal oxide 9 is extended with the heating furnace 10 and the roller 11 to obtain the tube 12 of small diameter. To this tube 12, the smoking attaching processing is made to form the protective film 13.
