Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tape loading structure without damaging a tape edge by a lead at the time of tape loading and unloading operation on a drum even when the magnetic tape is thin. SOLUTION: The lead R of the rotary drum 13 is arranged at the same height as a height of the lower edge T1 of the magnetic tape T just prior to its loading onto the rotary drum 13. Then, in order to correct unbalance between the upper and lower edges in tension, caused to the magnetic tape T at the time of its loading onto the drum 13, the magnetic tape T is twisted by a tape guide 16 on the outlet side of the drum 13.

SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a cassette guide mechanism 40 having one pair of cassette slopes 43a and 43b retractable where a small cassette is inserted with its width positioned on a frame surface 41a at the same level of a supporting surface of a cassette holder on the side of its entrance, one pair of detecting slopes 44a and 44b retractable and positioned outside the cassette slopes for the purpose of detecting insertion of a large cassette and one pair of cassette stoppers 45a and 45b capable of retreating into the frame surface 41a at the time of normally inserting a cassette into the back of the cassette slopes and projecting out of the frame surface 41a at the time of misinserting the cassette so as to prevent this cassette insertion, and then a link mechanism of the cassette slopes, the detecting slopes and the cassette stoppers is disposed orthogonally to the cassette inserting direction.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily remove a cassette controller from a mechanical deck so as to improve assemblability by providing a rack mechanism for removing the mechanical deck from a chassis substrate in the cassette controller having a cassette holder. SOLUTION: This device is constructed in such a manner that large and small tape cassettes 4A and 4B are selectively fixed to two reel bases. A rack mechanism 47 in which a pair of parallel rack members 48 and 49 are moved mutually to each other by a pinion 53 is provided with an engaging recessed part 51 in one end part of one member 48 and an engaging recessed part 52 projecting to the member 48 in one end part of the other member 49. A cassette controller is provided with a driving lever 56, the lever 56 is engaged with the engaging recessed part 51 of one member 48 during a downward movement, its rack member is slid and moved and the reel base is driven to a position corresponding to the small cassette. During the upward movement of the lever 56, the lever is engaged with the recessed part 52 of the other member 59, its rack member is slid and moved and the reel base is driven to a position corresponding to the large cassette.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of part items of an information detector moving mechanism and to improve the positioning accuracy by moving an information detector along a guide groove formed in a chassis substrate interlocking with a reel base moving mechanism and positioning it. SOLUTION: An information detecting member 50 as an information detector is moved a long a linear guide groove 51 formed in a mechanical chassis 3 associatively with the operation of a reel base moving mechanism. When the information detecting member 50 is moved to a position corresponding to a small tape cassette 4A, its front end part is butted to the groove end part 51a of the guide groove 51, stopped and then positioned. When the information detecting member 50 is moved to a position corresponding to a large tape cassette, its rear end part butts to the stopper 48a of a rack supporting member 48, stopped and then positioned. Thus, the number of part items for the information detector moving mechanism is reduced, an operation is made simple and positioning accuracy is improved.

When the reel base is rotated and moved to the corresponding position of a large tape cassette, the positioning shaft pin 30 butts to the other hold end part 31b of the circular-arc hole 31 and positioned. Thus, by increasing the accuracy of machining the positioning shaft pin 30 and the hole end parts 31a and 31b of the circular-arc hole 31, a pair of reel bases in which supply side and take-up side tape reels are loaded are accurately positioned in the corresponding positions of the small and large tape cassettes.

Consequently, the protruding parts 29, 29 for contact are not worn even the running operation of the slide member 8 is repeated, then the guide roller is always accurately positioned at the time of completion of loading.

It is thus possible to prevent movement of the shaft 1 by this protruded part 2b, and prevent the shaft 1 from slipping out from the base body 2 when fixing force on abutting part between the shaft 1 and the base material 2 is reduced after a lapse of a time, when a soft material such as zinc di-cast and the like is used in the base body 2.
