Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily and rapidly load and unload a magnetic tape without damaging this magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:This brake mechanism is provided with a pendulum gear 20 which oscillates and drives one reel turntable by meshing therewith between a feed reel turntable 4 freely rotatably supported on a moving chassis 2B and a takeup reel turntable. A brake lever 30 which applies the brake to the take-up reel turntable side at the time of loading the magnetic tape around a rotary head drum provided at a stationary chassis 2A is freely rotatably and slidably supported with respect to the moving chassis 2B. This brake lever 30 is provided with a rack part 30d which meshes and parts with and from the tooth part 45c of a limiter gear 45 of the feed reel turntable 4. A stopper arm 33 which holds the meshing state of the rack part 30d of the brake lever 30 and the tooth part 40c of the feed reel turntable 4 are freely rotatably supported on the moving chassis 2B.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the load exerted on a tape at the tape rewinding time and to reduce the electric power consumption of a reel motor, etc. by rotating a rotary drum in the reverse direction to recording and reproducing times with winding the tape on the rotary drum. CONSTITUTION:When a rewinding switch 1 is pushed, a drum motor 4 is reversed by switching the driving circuit 3 of a rotary drum by the controller 2 of a microcomputer, etc. The rewinding travel of the tape is started at about the same time or just before the start of the reversal of the drum motor 4. The rotary drum is reversed at about several times or 30 times speed compared to recording and reproducing times. The load exerted on the tape is thus reduced drastically, the tape damage accompanied by the tape traveling is also reduced and the electric power consumption of a reel motor, etc. for driving the tape traveling is reduced as well.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To use parts in common between supply and take-up reel drive disks by attaching a yoke plate to the opposite side of a magnet set opposite to a hiss plate of either one of both reel drive disks and giving different torques to both drive disks.
CONSTITUTION: The gear of a drive mechanism engages the tooth 2A of a lower reel drive disk 2 or a gear 6 and revolves at a take-up reel drive disk T. Thus the disk T also revolves. When the drive gear 6 is revolved, a magnetic flux generated from the other side of a magnet 3 is sent back to a magnet 3 through a yoke 11 since this yoke 11 is attached to the magnet 3. In this case, the density of the magnetic flux is higher than the disk T having no yoke plate 11. Then the revolving torque of the disk T is larger than that of a supply reel drive disk. Thus different torques can give to the supply and take-up reel drive disks although both disks have almost the same structure. Therefore the components parts can be used in common to both drive disks. This attains the reduction of cost.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To miniaturize a driving device and, at the same time, a whole device by installing a differential gear device driven by a motor, loading ring driven from one of the output axis of a differential gear, and so forth. CONSTITUTION:A tape cassette 1 is mounted on a supply reel table 4 and a winding reel table 5 under the guidance of locating pins 2 and 3. A differential gear device 6 is driven from a loading motor through a reduction gear. One of the output shafts of the reduction gear is coupled with a ring gear driving gear 8 which is engaged with the ring gear of a loading ring 7 and the other output shaft is coupled with a cam wheel 9. When such a constitution is used, the driving device can be miniaturized and, at the same time, the whole device can be miniaturized.
