Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal transmission/reception system or the like that minimizes temporary distortion of a displayed video image occurring during switching of video signal formats. SOLUTION: Information regarding a format after switching and information regarding timing of switching the formats are inserted into a blanking section of the video signal to be transmitted. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image of -1 time (E dit-) to be outputted by phase locking so as to trace transmission reproduction special-purpose data arranged in a predetermined position according to a fixed rule in a device recording digital data to the track of a magnetic tape by a rotating head. SOLUTION: In the capstan servo calculator 71 of a reproduction system 20; a present position is specified, a phase error is obtained from a value of Block 0, a value of Block 0, and/or Block 0 reproduced intermittently from a track of a magnetic tape at -1-speed by a phase error calculation portion 82, a phase error obtained by the phase error calculation porion 82 is added to a speed error from a speed error calculator 81 by an adding portion 85, and phase servo is applied, thereby performing a control of a reproduction by tracing the search data by phase locking at -1-speed and by the rotating head. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a search image from being non-colored when truncating low-order bits of a color signal in order to generate the search image. SOLUTION: Since a search image is constituted by using only a DC component, an I picture decoder 71 extracts the DC component from luminance signal components and color difference signal components of macro blocks of an I picture. A color signal in image data from the I picture decoder 71 is supplied to a color signal level correction section 72, and a corrected color signal is supplied to a search data generation section 83. The search data generation section 73 generates search image data using a method determined in specifications. The color signal level correction section 72 corrects partial or all color signals within one frame so as to increase signal levels so that data of pixels of originally low levels become 0 data and a problem that the search image is not colored, is solved when reducing bit length of color difference data. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an edit search without making intricate control. SOLUTION: The thumb nail images displayed in the state of Figure 13 (A) are changed to the state of Figure 13 (B) in correspondence to the rotating operation of a dial. When the dial is further rotationally operated in the same direction, the image data for 3GOP components recorded in the farthest position in a delay direction is erased from the currently displayed thumb nail images. The magnetic tape is sent to positive direction. The feed direction of a magnetic tape is inverted after parting by >=4GOP than the thumb nail images to be acquired and phase locking is performed by acceleration up to an 8-times speed, following which the thumb nail images of 3GOP are acquired. The tape feed speed is thereafter decelerated and the tape is so fed that the position of a rotary head corresponds to the currently displayed thumb nail images as shown in Figure 13 (C).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record data of an HD video signal on a magnetic tape. SOLUTION: A preamble is formed at the head of each track formed obliquely to the length of the magnetic tape and a main sector and a subcode sector are then continuously formed without forming any gap between them. A postamble is formed right after the subcode sector. In the main sector, data, sound data, search data, AUX data, etc., of the HD video signal are recorded.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a progressive mode recording system of a digital VTR, capable of applying a progressive scanning system by nearly partially changing a part of a present digital VTR. SOLUTION: Two adjacent frames 1 and 2 of the input video signals of the progressive scanning system are respectively decomposed into first fields 1A and 2A and second fields 1B and 2B, the respectively decomposed two sets of the first fields, and the second fields are replaced with each other and new two frames are generated. Then, the new two frames are respectively compressed, difference between one of new frame compression data and the other new frame compression data generated by performing compression is obtained, one of the new frame compression data is recorded in the video recording area of a video recording means 3 and the new frame compression data, for which the difference is obtained, are recorded in a recording area other than the video recording area of the video recording means.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction of the circuit of a digital VTR by generating a stable internal synchronization reference signal with less fluctuation with a comparatively simple method where a prescribed delay is given to the frequency response of the internal synchronization reference signal with respect to an input frame synchronizing signal. SOLUTION: The VTR is provided with a synchronization control section 1 that monitors a frequency of a frame synchronizing signal of an input video signal and generates an internal synchronizing signal resulting from keeping frequency fluctuation of a frequency of the frame synchronizing signal within a prescribed range based on the result of monitoring so as to input the internal synchronizing signal to a digital signal processing circuit 2. An up and down- counter is used to provide a hysteresis characteristic to a response to generation of a synchronizing signal with respect to a monitoring result of the frequency of the frame synchronizing signal.

PURPOSE:To improve picture quality by improving the updating rate of a second frame memory at the time of high-speed reproduction. CONSTITUTION:At the time of high-speed reproduction, a capstan control part 14 controls the rotation of a capstan motor 17 so as to increase the number of video data newly written in a second frame memory 10. When an address not to be updated at all exists over 20 frames on this second frame memory 10, the rotation of the capstan motor 17 are controlled so as to decelerate the transport speed of a video tape 1 to the timing for reproducing video data written in this address.

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the vertical resolution of a reproduced still picture by recording alternately two color difference signals for each prescribed frame and writing the reproduced data of the color difference signals to frame memories for each color difference signal and outputting the result. CONSTITUTION:A blue color difference signal PB and a red color difference signal PR in a video signal at the recording are converted into digital signals by A/D converters 13B, 13R. Switch circuits 15B, 15R, 22 are switched synchronously with a switching signal MS from a terminal 16 and its output signal is fed to a TDM encoder 14. When a still picture is selected, the color difference signal from the circuit 22 is shared alternately to A, B channels for each horizontal period and recorded on a tape while being subject to time division multiplex onto the luminance signal. At the reproduction, the reproduced data of the color difference signals are written in the two frame memories and each color difference signal to be written is outputted.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video tape recorder and its control method, applied to a vide tape recorder based on, e.g., an HDV format, and capable of correctly determining a format even in the case of rewinding video reproduction at unmultiplied speed or the like using search data recorded in a magnetic tape. SOLUTION: The traveling of a magnetic tape 4 is controlled so that during rewinding video reproduction, magnetic heads 15A and 15B scan the magnetic tape 4, 2(M±n) (n is integer) times by 2M pieces of blocks constituting the recording cycle of search data, and scan an area recording video data for searching.
