Abstract:
IT IS AN OBJECT OF THE PRESENT INVENTION TO PROVIDE A VARIABLE-SPEED PLAYBACK APPARATUS FOR DIGITAL VIDEO SIGNALS WHEREIN THE TAPE TRAVELING SPEED CAN BE CONTROLLED WITH A HIGH DEGREE OF ACCURACY. A TRACE PHASE PROCESSING UNIT (33) EMPLOYED IN A MICROCOMPUTER (25) COMPUTES THE TRACE PHASE OF A MAGNETIC HEAD FROM REPRODUCED TRACK AND SYNCHRONIZATION BLOCK NUMBERS. THIS TRACE PHASE IS COMPARED TO REFERENCE TRACE PHASE REF OUTPUT BY A CYCLIC COUNTER (29) TO PRODUCE A PHASE WHICH IS SUPPLIED TO A SPEED CONTROL UNIT (26).FIG. 1

In a variable-speed playback apparatus for digital video signals wherein the tape traveling speed can be controlled with a high degree of accuracy, a trace phase processing unit (33) employed in a microcomputer (25) computes the track and synchronization block numbers. This trace phase is compared to a reference trace phase (Ref) output by a cyclic counter (29) to produce a phase error which is supplied to a speed control unit (26).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform search reproduction at a prescribed double speed and at two times as fast as the prescribed double speed. SOLUTION: A track for search is allocated to image data for search by depending on which area data the image data for search belongs to between a central part area C (areas C0 to C8) on an image for search and peripheral parts P (areas P0 to P8), further which area data the image data for search belongs to among the nine areas C0 to C8 of the area C or which area data the image data for search belongs to among the nine areas P0 to P8 of the areas P. As a result, the entire image for search is displayed in search reproduction at the prescribed double speed, and the image of the area C or the image of the areas P is alternately reproduced in search reproduction at the two times as fast as the double speed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record data of an HD video signal on a magnetic tape. SOLUTION: An ITI sector is formed at the head of each track formed obliquely to the length of the magnetic tape and a main sector and a subcode sector are then formed. They are continuously formed without forming any gap between them. A postamble is formed right after the subcode sector. In the main sector, data, sound data, search data, AUX data, etc., of the HD video signal are recorded.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of obtaining the still image pickup signals of high image quality by an entire pixel read mode and outputting them through an output processing means coping with an interlace read mode. SOLUTION: The image pickup signals read in the interlace read mode from a CCD image sensor 23 are supplied through a camera signal processing circuit 24 to a DV recording and reproducing signal processing part 4 as they are and the image pickup signals read in the entire pixel read mode from the CCD image sensor 23 are transformed to interlace signals by a scanning transformation part 3A and supplied to the DV recording and reproducing signal processing part 4.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain what can make space for a connecting means in 1st information equipment small in a connecting device of information equipment which connects plural 2nd information equipment that have different impedance from each other to 1st information equipment through a jack and a plug as connecting means. SOLUTION: This device has a common jack J which is connected to 1st information equipment 11, plural kinds of plugs P-H and P-AV which are separately connected to plural 2nd information equipment that have different impedance and can be connected to the jack J, and a discriminating means 8 which applies prescribed voltage to a prescribed contact of a plug through an impedance element 7, detects voltage between the prescribed contact of the plug and a ground contact, detects impedance between the prescribed contact and the ground contact in accordance with the voltage and discriminates a kind of the plug or a type of the 2nd information equipment in accordance with the value of the impedance when an optional plug between plural kinds of plugs P-H and P-AV is connected to the jack J.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a phase lock of ±24 double speed highly accurately without using sub-code data in a recording and reproducing apparatus performing recording and reproducing of digital data through a tilt track of a magnetic tape by a rotary head. SOLUTION: When such control is performed by a capstan servo arithmetic part 71 of a reproduction system 20 that phase lock is performed with ±24 double speed and the search data is traced and reproduced, if search data cannot be obtained from a detection result of the search data locking to a tilt track of the prescribed track number, speed is kept in the fixed direction and locked by the next error correction block, at a position being the remotest from a target position, the above operation is repeated twice, after search data can be obtained, control of locking is performed. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing device that can stabilize image reproduction at variable speed reproduction and reduce the processing time required for reaching a stable state. SOLUTION: The reproducing method of this invention includes a step S2 of transmitting a SYNC/ID detection request data to a SYNC/ID detection section from a latch data generating section when a step S1 discriminates that variable speed reproduction is commanded; a step S3 of generating the SYNC/ID detection data corresponding to the SYNC/ID detection request data by the SYNC/ID detection section, a step S4 of receiving the SYNC/ID detection data by the latch data generating section; a step S5 of generating latch data, a step S6 of discriminating whether or not an object SB (Synchronized Block) is detected in a target Trp (Track pair); steps S7, S9 of discriminating a connection state of a switch depending on the result of discrimination; and a step S8 of switching the switch depending on the connection state.
