Abstract: An adjustable hinge assembly for swingably joining hinging panel members together, where improved mounting capability is provided, and adjustability of a pin (12) and the hinge components in multiple directions relative to the hinging panels and to each other is provided, where a base member (14) is mounted to a first hinging member and a pin-carrying member (11) is connecte d to the base, and a base member mounted to a second hinging member and maintains an adjustable pin-receiving component (13) thereon. Stops (91, 92, 93, 94) are provided to regulate the pivot of the members over a predetermin ed range.

Abstract: A latch assembly is mounted in an aperture formed in a first member for releasably retaining the first member against a corresponding second member and in a latched position. The latch assembly includes a handle which is adapted for pivotal rotation. A shaft is included which is connected with the handle. The handle is adapted to facilitate axial movement of the shaft as the handle is pivotally rotated between open and closed positions. A latch is provided on the shaft which is adapted for axial movement corresponding with movement of the shaft. The latch is adapted to releasably retain the second member in engagement with the first member when the handle is in its closed position. A retaining member is also included in connection with the shaft which is adapted for securing the latch in its mounted position on the shaft. The handle also includes at least one member engaging the shaft which in operation is adapted to provide sufficient drag thereon in order to prevent pivotal rotation of the shaft relative to the handle upon mounting in the aperture in the first member.

Abstract: A swell latch assembly is mounted in an aperture formed in a first member for releasably retaining the first member against a corresponding second member and in a latched position. The swell latch assembly includes a handle which is adapted for pivotal rotation. A shaft is included comprising a unitary member which is connected with the handle. The handle is adapted to facilitate axial movement of the shaft as the handle is pivotally rotated between open and closed positions. A bushing is provided on the shaft which is adapted for axial movement corresponding with movement of the shaft. The bushing is adapted to releasably retain the second member in engagement with the first member when the handle is in its closed position. Abstract: A swell latch assembly includes a rotatable handle 712 mounted on a T-shaped shaft 714 which is axially movable as the handle 712 is rotated between open and closed positions. To facilitate installation of the latch assembly in an aperture in a door 782 the handle 712 is provided with at least one member 750 engaging the shaft 714 to provide sufficient drag thereon to prevent pivoting of the shaft 714 relative to the handle 712. A bushing 716, eg of rubber, is axially movable with the shaft for releasably retaining the door 782 in engagement with a frame 784 when the handle 712 is in its closed position. A retaining member 718 is also included on the shaft 714 for securing the bushing 716 on the shaft 714. The shaft 714 and handle 712 are preferably manufactured out of thermoplastics.
