    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a door and use a hinge device in many application examples by arranging a pin collective body which includes a support part which is energized and enables mutual rotation of hinges in a bore of the hinge collective body which includes a plurality of hinges and engaging the hinge collective part with the support part when the hinge is at a predetermined position. SOLUTION: A base 16 of a hinge member 12 forms a substantially cylindrical bore in knuckles 18, 20, a hinge member 14 is provided with a locking knuckle 60 for locking which has a bore which passes through in the axial direction, and a plurality of grooves over the whole length of the knuckle are formed in each bore. Moreover, a pin collective body 15 is provided with a hinge pin 17, an insert 19, and a spring 21, the insert 19 in which the spring 21 is arranged in an opening thereof is attached in a slot of the hinge pin 17, and a support part is formed in a part of a boss to which a recessed part on a side face of the insert 19 opposes. The pin collective body 15 is attached in such a manner that the side face of the insert 19 is supported by a groove on an inner face of the bore of the knuckles 18, 20, and the pin collective body 15 is held by the hinge member 12.

    Abstract: A door positioning hinge comprising two hinge parts which are rotatably connected together by a hinge pin 815 which has at least a portion with a cross shaped cross section. A door positioning hinge kit having two hinge means each with a bore and including a first pin assembly with detent means to provide greater resistance to rotation when the hinge means are rotated to at least one predefined position and a second pin assembly adapted to provide free relative rotation between the first and second hinge means. A hinge pin disposed within the bores of the first and second hinge means where the hinge pin has at least one annular boss which fits into the increased diameter portion of the bore and facilitates the retention of the hinge pin within the bore.

    Abstract: A door positioning hinge supports two closure members, and also allows the closure members to be rotated to open or to close. The door positioning hinge can be adapted to allow free-swinging of the closure members or alternatively to hold the closure members in various detent positions. In addition, the particular amount of force can be selected where desired which operates to hold the closure members in the respective detent positions.     Abstract: A door positioning hinge has a first hinge leaf 12, with knuckles 18 and 20, a hinge leaf with a detent knuckle 60 provided with four recesses in opposed pairs on the inner surface 62, and a pin assembly 15 having a hinge pin 17, an insert 19 and a spring 21. A cavity may be provided within the insert for the spring 21 which may be elastomeric, circular, sinusoidal, helical or integral with the insert and which biasses the sides of the insert outwards to engage the surface 62. The pin is keyed at 81. On rotation the side of the insert 19 releasably engages the recesses in the surface 62 to retain the door in predetermined angular positions. Hinge covers may be provided which have protrusions which engage in the cavities 32 and 56 provided in the hinge leaves.
