    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the microscopic polishing accuracy by providing a surface of a non-woven fabric base material with an embossed pattern, and specifying a width of projected parts of the embossed pattern. SOLUTION: A non-woven fabric base material composed of extra fine fiber to be used in an abrasive cloth, is manufactured by entangling the extra fine fiber of 0.3 dtex or less. It is an important point to improve the surface accuracy of the non-woven fabric base material prepared like this. The surface accuracy of the non-woven fabric base material is achieved by embossing the extra fine fiber non-woven fabric base material. The arbitrary shape and irregularity can be applied in an embossed pattern in an embossing work, but it is important that an average width of projected parts is 60 μm or less, preferably 40 μm or less. By this embossing work, the microscopic uniform irregularity is formed on the surface of the non-woven fabric base material by applying the embossing pattern of a mold for embossing.

CONSTITUTION:In a film material formed by layering a resin layer 2 and a surface layer 1 on a base cloth 3, one or more kinds of fluororesin selected from a group consisting of polyvinyl fluoride resin, vinylidene fluoride resin, chlorotrifluoroethylene resin, binary or above vinylidene fluoride resin, and binary or above tetrafluoroethylene resin is layered on the surface layer 1. The resin layer 2 is made of flexible fluororesin. Thus, a flexible fluoro-film material 5 is formed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the hydraulic inorganic molded product having a high strength and excellent dimensional stability and exhibiting the reinforcing effect of reinforcing acrylic fibers after cured in an autoclave by adding a hydrophilic component and amorphous silica such as pozzolan active silica in a dry molding method, and to provide the method for producing the same. CONSTITUTION:Basic raw materials comprising a cement and a silica component (crystalline silica and amorphous silica, and a case in which the content of the crystalline silica is zero is included) which are cement basic raw materials in a hydraulic material, the content of the amorphous silica being at least 10 pts.wt., and the content of the cement being 220 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the cement and the silica component, are mixed with acrylic fibers. The mixture is molded by a dry method and subsequently cured in an autoclave to provide the acrylic fiber-reinforced inorganic molded product having a specific flexural strength of >=35kg/cm calculated by dividing its flexural strength by the second power of its specific gravity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To uniformly carry out reaction in obtaining flameproof yarn heating and sulfurizing yarn bundle of acrylic fiber in a sulfur-containing atmosphere, by replacing oxygen in the yarn bundle with water, etc., through immersion of the yarn bundle in water at an inlet part of heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:Yarn bundle 1 of acrylic fiber (preferably one having >=10g/d tensile strength, >=180g/d modulus in tension and >=2.2g/d knot strength) which is obtained by subjecting acrylonitrile (preferably one having high degree of polymerization of 2.0-5.0 intrinsic viscosity) to melt spinning and drawing is immersed in water at an inlet part 2, brought into contact with steam 3, heated by a furnace 4, sulfurized with a high-temperature sulfur-containing gas (preferably mixed gas of sulfur dioxide and steam at 230-400 deg.C) and preferably brought into contact with steam 3 at an outlet part 6 to give sulfur-containing acrylic flame-retardant yarn suitable for cement reinforcing material, etc., having high tensile strength, excellent alkali resistance, heat resistance and flame retardance.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title molded item having excellent high temp. alkali resistance, high strength and elastic modulus, high heat resistance and being usable for reinforcing high-temp. curing cement, by binding sulfur in a small amt. below a specified value therewith. CONSTITUTION:The title molded item whose content of bound sulfur is 5wt.% or lower is obtd. by treating an arom. polyamide molded item in the vapor of a sulfur compd. such as SO2 gas at 250 deg.C or higher and thereby introducing sulfur into the arom. polyamide molded item. As the above-described molded items, not only simple fibers, but cut fibers, pulps, woven fabrics, felts, papers, films, boards, resinous materials, etc., are included without any limitation in their shapes and molded items thereof and composites wherein these serve as base materials are also included. These molded items have remarkably excellent high temp. alkali resistance as well as high strength, elastic modulus, and heat resistance. They can be used in the field for reinforcing high-temp. (180 deg.C) (autoclave) curing type of cement which has not been usable heretofore. Furthermore, these molded items can be used not only for reinforcing cement, but also in such industrial applications as asbestos substituting fibers based on their heat resistance and high strength.
