Disclosed are a method and a control arrangement for frequency regulation of an electrical grid operatively coupled with at least one wind turbine generator. The method includes operating the wind turbine generator to consume electrical power from the electrical grid. Further disclosed is a method for increasing a ramp rate capacity of a wind power plant comprising a plurality of wind turbine generators. The method includes operating at least one of the plurality of wind turbine generators to consume electrical power.

The invention relates to a power plant controller for controlling wind turbine generators. More particularly, the invention relates to a method for compensating data obtained from measurements at a connection point to the grid in case of a communication failure where communication of such data is lost or becomes unreliable. The measured data are used in the power plant controller for determining setpoints for controlling the wind turbine generators' production of active and reactive power. In response to detection of a communication fault a new setpoint is determined independently of new measured grid data by reconfiguring parts of the power plant controller.

The present invention relates to a method for controlling a wind power plant connected to an electrical grid (20), the wind power plant comprising at least one wind turbine generator (1) and a power plant controller (250), the power plant controller comprising a signal controller (390) for controlling an electrical parameter with a gain (Kgs), the method comprising, measuring at least one electrical parameter (312) in the electrical grid (20), determining an internal signal value(346) at least partially based on the at least one electrical parameter(312),comparing the internal signal value (346) with a saturation value(356), and if the internal signal value (346) exceed the saturation value,increasing the gain (Kgs) of the signal controller to a first gain value, in order to decrease a rise time for a slope for the electrical parameter in the electrical grid (20). The present invention relates to a method for supervision of an electrical measurement in a wind power plant, with a plurality of wind turbine generators, the method comprises, a) measuring a measurement of an electrical parameter (311) in the wind power plant,b) determining a difference between the measurement and a reference value, c) in case the difference is greater than a threshold value,incrementing an event counter, d) in case the event counter is incremented, raising a first warning flag. The present invention relates to a power plant controller, controlling at least one electrical parameter of a wind power plant at a first point in an electrical grid wherein the wind power plant comprises a plurality of wind turbine generators, the power plant controller comprising, an input device arranged for receiving at least one measured electrical parameter at a point of measurement, the point of measurement being different from the first point, and an algorithm for estimating a delta value of a difference of the at least one electrical parameter between the first point and the point of measurement, wherein estimating of the delta value is calculated based on an impedance between the point of measurement and the first point, and at least one electrical input parameter, and wherein the at least one electrical input parameter is at least one reference value of the power plant controller, and the power plant controller controls the at least one electrical parameter on the basis of the at least one measured electrical parameter and the delta value. The invention relates to a method for wind turbine generators for reducing electrical disturbances in the form of power variations which are caused by damping controllers arranged the compensate structural oscillations by inducing shaft torque variations. The shaft torque variations are generated by imposing corresponding variations in a generator set-point, e.g. a power or torque set-point. Variations in the generator set-point cause undesired variations in the power injected to the grid by one or more wind turbine generators. According to an embodiment of the invention the electrical disturbances may be reduced by limiting a damping controller's control action. The amount of limitation or restriction of the damping controller may be determined on basis on electrical disturbance information determined from power measured e.g. at a location on the grid.
