The present invention relates to a method for preparing a wind power facility for a transition from a first mode of operation to a second mode of operation, the wind power facility comprising a wind power plant comprising a plurality of wind turbine generators, the method comprising the steps of specifying a set of operational parameters to be applied by the wind power facility in connection with the second mode of operation, said specified set of operational parameters being available for the wind power facility in response to a provided transition triggering signal, and providing the transition triggering signal and applying the specified set of operational parameters in the wind power facility in response thereto, wherein a subset of the specified set of operational parameters is applied in each of the wind turbine generators in response to the provided transition triggering signal. The first mode of operation may involve a normal mode of operation whereas the second mode of operation may involve an island mode of operation. The present invention further relates to a wind power facility comprising a wind power facility controller adapted to carry out the above method.

The present invention relates to a state machine for controlling a wind power plant (WPP), comprising at least one wind turbine connected to an electrical grid, the state machine is adapted to, receive a plant power reference (P_total) according to at least one electrical value of the electrical grid, manage a plurality of control modes and output signals, in relation to the plurality of control modes, select within the control modes, according to controller inputs and contingency at that moment in time, transfer the corresponding control values to a power controller, and dispatch a power reference to each of the at least one wind turbines according to the selected control mode. The invention also relates to a control system arranged to control power output of a wind power plant (WPP), comprising at least one wind turbine connected to an electrical grid, and the control system having a state machine.

The present invention relates to a wind power plant having a plurality of wind turbine generators and a power plant controller arranged to communicate with the plurality of wind turbines generators, wherein each wind turbine generator in the plurality of wind turbine generators being related to a wind turbine controller, the wind turbine controller being arranged to control an active power output in its related wind turbine generator according to an active power set point received from the wind power plant controller;the wind power plant supplies power to a utility grid in accordance with an active power reference; such that upon a change in the active power reference the active power set point for each wind turbine generator is changed by a weighting factor; wherein the weighting factor for an increase of the active power reference depends on a relationship between an available active power of each wind turbine generator and an available active power of the wind power plant, and wherein the weighting factor for a decrease of the active power reference depends on a relationship between a produced active power of each wind turbine generator and an aggregated active power output of the wind power plant. The invention also relates to a method for control wind power plant.

The present invention relates to a method for controlling a wind power plant, WPP, comprising a plurality of wind turbine generators, WTGs, connected to an electrical grid, the method comprising: setting a plant power reference (Ptotal) according to an electrical value of the electrical grid;determining an inertia delta power reference (IRdeltaP)required for the WPP to meet a power demand in response to a change in the electrical value;adding the inertia delta power reference and the plant power reference (Ptotal) to form a power reference (Ptotalref);deriving an overboost reference (PrefOB) as the difference between the power reference (Ptotalref) and an available power value;dispatching the power reference (Ptotalref) to each wind turbine generator;dispatching the overboost reference (PrefOB) to each wind turbine generator. The present invention relates to a method for controlling a wind power plant, comprising one or more wind turbine generator(s) connected to an electrical grid, and a power plant controller having an operational mode, controlling electrical parameters, wherein the method comprises, determining a first voltage level of one or more wind turbine generator(s), determining if the first voltage level of one or more wind turbine generator(s) is outside a first predetermined range, in case the first voltage level of one or more wind turbine generator(s) is outside a first predetermined range then, changing the operational mode of the power plant controller between first and second operational modes, the first operational mode controlling a first electrical parameter, the second operational mode controlling a second electrical parameter, the first and second parameters being different. The present invention also relates to a power plant controller and a wind power plant operated according to the method.
