Abstract:
A heating and vibrating pillow for providing therapeutic heating and massaging functions through a conventionally sized and shaped bed pillow. The heating and vibrating pillow comprises a pillow housing filled with filling material such that a vibrating encasement is suspended therein. The surface of one side of the pillow housing includes an electrical switch operated flexible heating mesh configured to generate a heated area on the surface of the pillow housing. The vibrating encasement includes an electrical switch operated vibrator that is configured to generate vibrations from the center of the pillow. The heating and vibrating pillow is wired to receive electricity from either a electrical plug an internal battery.
Abstract:
An exercise balance board may have at least a platform for a user supported by a resilient, air-filled partial sphere. It contains features which allow users of any size or fitness level to properly exercise muscle groups. The balance board allows a user to exercise upper and lower muscle extremity groups either individually or simultaneously.
Abstract:
A first head (100) of a beauty device includes a stirring mechanism (110) stirring bubbles, and a head case (120) provided with an opening (121) for allowing the bubbles stirred by the stirring mechanism (110) to pass through. When the first head (100) is used while being mounted to the body (10) of the beauty device, bubbles are supplied to the stirring mechanism (110) from the body (10) of the beauty device. In a state where bubbles supplied to the stirring mechanism (110) are present between the stirring mechanism (110) and the skin, the bubbles are stirred and moved between the stirring mechanism (110) and the skin by the stirring mechanism (110), and thus impurities of the skin are removed by the bubbles.
Abstract:
The invention provides for a medical apparatus (100, 200, 300) for treating cells of a subject comprising at least one transducer (102, 224) with a vibrating surface (116). The transducer further comprises an applicator (118, 600) for attaching the vibrating surface to an outer surface of the subject (108, 218). The transducer is operable to vibrate at a frequency between 10 Hz and 1000 Hz. The medical apparatus further comprises a controller (104, 222, 230) for controlling the vibration of the transducer. The controller is operable for causing the transducer to vibrate for greater than a predetermined period of time for treating the cells. The predetermined period of time is greater than one hour.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a percutaneous stimulator for reducing the sensitivity of nerves, comprising an electrical stimulator (2). The electrical stimulator (2) comprises a control circuit (21), at least two electrodes (22) and a power supply unit (23), wherein the power supply unit (23) supplies power to the control circuit (21), and then the control circuit (21) generates a stimulation current and conducts the stimulation current to the two electrodes (22). When in use, the electrical stimulator (2) can be located on a carrier (1, 3) and sleeved on a male genital organ via the carrier (1, 3) to enable the two electrodes (22) to touch the surface of the skin of the male genital organ; and the stimulation current generated by the electrical stimulator (2) is conducted to the two electrodes (22) and stimulates subcutaneous nerves at a low intensity to enable the subcutaneous nerves of the male genital organ to achieve temporary paralysis, in order to temporarily reduce the sensitivity of subcutaneous nerves of the genital organ.
Abstract:
An auricular peripheral nerve field stimulator may include at least one therapy electrode configured for percutaneous insertion into an auricle of a human ear near at least one neurovascular bundle located therein, and an electrical stimulation device electrically coupled to the electrical stimulation device, the electrical stimulation device programmed to generate and deliver electrical stimulation signals, with defined stimulation parameters, to the at least one therapy electrode to stimulate, with the at least one therapy electrode percutaneously inserted, at least one auricular peripheral nerve field within the auricle, the defined stimulation parameters including a defined pulse frequency and at least one of a defined pulse width and a defined duty cycle.
Abstract:
An exemplary subcutaneous medical device implanted within a patient uses a coil-less magnetic field sensor included within the subcutaneous medical device to detect a toggling sequence between a presence and an absence of an externally-generated static magnetic field. The toggling sequence is representative of a digital data stream according to a digital wireless communication protocol. The subcutaneous medical device identifies, based on the detected toggling sequence and in accordance with the digital wireless communication protocol, a multi-bit command encoded within the digital data stream represented by the toggling sequence. The subcutaneous medical device further performs, in response to the identifying of the multi-bit command, an action associated with the multi-bit command. Corresponding methods and a corresponding external controller are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An auricular peripheral nerve field stimulator system includes an electrical stimulation device for generating electrical stimulation signals and a plurality of therapy electrodes electrically coupled thereto, each of the therapy electrodes including at least one needle for percutaneous insertion into an auricle of a human ear near at least one neurovascular bundle located therein. At least one of the therapy electrodes includes a plurality of such needles for percutaneous insertion into the auricle near the at least one neurovascular bundle. In some embodiments, at least one reference electrode electrically is coupled to the electrical stimulation device and includes at least one needle for percutaneous insertion into or adjacent the auricle to provide a ground reference for the electrical stimulation device. The generated electrical stimulation signals are, in any case, delivered by the percutaneously inserted needles to stimulate at least one auricular peripheral nerve field within the auricle.
