A scroll compressor which is capable of preventing thermal damage to an O-ring and has a filter arrangement structure with favorable installation work efficiency is provided. The compressor is configured such that an intake pipe (50) for drawing in a refrigerant gas through an external pipe (P) is securely joined to a steel compressor casing (10) by penetrating therethrough, the compressor casing housing a stationary scroll (22) and a swingable scroll (24); and the lower end part of the intake pipe is fitted into an intake portion (22K) with an O-ring (60) disposed therebetween, the intake portion being provided in the stationary scroll. The intake pipe is configured to have a steel iron pipe body (54) on the intake portion side and a copper pipe body (52) joined to the upper end part of the iron pipe body. The copper pipe body of the intake pipe is silver-brazed (13) to the compressor casing, and a filter (F) is installed in the intake pipe.

A piston for a diesel internal combustion engine including a crown portion at least partially formed of steel and having a combustion surface with a combustion bowl formed therein is provided. The combustion bowl presents a combustion bowl rim area, and a coating including at least one of a noble metal and a refractory metal is applied to substantially only the combustion bowl rim area. The coating is preferably applied in the areas of the combustion bowl rim area that are in line with the sprays of diesel fuel when the piston is in a top dead center position during operation of the engine.

A swash plate (30) of a compressor (10) comprising a plate member (31) supported by a rotation shaft (13) and contacting a shoe (16) supported capable of sliding with respect to a piston (15), for reciprocating the piston, wherein an intermediary layer (32) is formed on the surface of the plate member, and a solid lubrication layer (33) formed of silver or silver alloy in which an adhesive force to the plate member is strengthened by the intermediary layer. Thus, the swash plate of the compressor according to the present invention exhibits an improved lubrication feature at a high temperature and under heavy load while frictionally contacting the shoe and rotating at a high speed and is prevented from being seizured into the shoe. Also, reliability according to driving of the compressor is improved. Further, the lubrication features of the swash plate and the shoe are improved and the life span of the compressor is extended.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type compressor in which thermal damage of an O-ring is prevented, and which has a filter arrangement structure with excellent installation work efficiency.SOLUTION: In the scroll type compressor, an suction pipe 50 for sucking refrigerant gas from external piping P is penetrated through a steel-made compressor casing 10 for housing a fixed scroll 22 and an oscillating scroll 24 and jointed/fixed to the casing, and a lower end of the suction pipe is fitted in a suction port 22K formed in the fixed scroll via an O-ring 60. The suction port side of the suction pipe is a steel-made pipe body, and a copper-made pipe body is joined to an upper end side of the steel-made pipe body. The copper-made pipe body of the suction pipe is joined to the casing of the compressor by silver brazing, and a filter F is attached in the suction pipe.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swash plate and a compressor using this swash plate with an excellent life characteristic capable of enhancing adhesiveness of a lubrication plating layer on surface and preventing seizure to a shoe caused by friction heat generated by a high temperature and high speed rotation. SOLUTION: The swash plate includes a plate member contacted with the shoe supported by a rotation shaft and slide-supported to a piston to reciprocate the piston; an intermediate layer formed on a surface of the plate member; and a solid lubrication layer comprising silver or a silver alloy of which a joint force is strengthened by the plate member and the intermediate layer.
