The invention relates to a device and to a method for providing and adjusting a numbering machine with which value papers or sheets of value papers are printed with an individual piece of information, particularly a serial number. The numbering machine comprises carrier discs (1) and numbering units (2) on said carrier discs, wherein a plurality of numbering units are fixed on a carrier disc and a plurality of said carrier discs are fixed on a shaft (3), and the shaft is driven by at least one drive element with at least one rotary encoder. According to the invention, a position device provides the target position (5) of the carrier discs and the associated numbering units on the associated carrier discs. Such a position device is preferably a light generating device with a light beam (6), a mechanical stop collar, or a camera with a monitor with a reticle. A light generating device hereby is preferably a laser (4) or illumination means with focusing lenses that indicate the target position with a light spot on the carrier disc or the numbering unit.

There is described a sheet inspection system for a sheet-fed recto-verso printing press of the type comprising two printing cylinders (10, 20) for carrying out simultaneous recto-verso printing of the sheets, said sheet inspection system comprising at least one inspection device (200; 300; 400) for taking an image of one side of the printed sheets. The sheet inspection system comprises first and second transfer cylinders (60, 65) interposed between a first (10) of the two printing cylinders (10, 20) and a chain gripper system (5) of the printing press, printed sheets being transferred successively from the first printing cylinder (10) to the first transfer cylinder (60), to the second transfer cylinder (65), and to the chain gripper system (5). The inspection device (200; 300; 400) comprises a line image sensor (210; 310; 410) for performing line-scanning image acquisition of the one side of the printed sheets, this line image sensor (210; 310; 410) visually acquiring an image of a printed sheet while the printed sheet is being transported on the first or second transfer cylinder (60; 65).

Eine Siebdruckmaschine hat ein Gestell (04) und zwei an dem Gestell angeordnete Lageranordnungen (02,03) für die drehbare Lagerung eines Siebzylinders (01), wobei die Lageranordnungen Ringe (07) aufweisen, die um eine gemeinsame Achse drehantreibbar sind und die an ihren einander zugewandten Seiten Klauen (13,16,42) tragen. Um die Montage eines Kopfstücks (27) des Siebzylinders an den Ring zu ermöglichen, sind dessen Klauen auf einer Hälfte von dessen Umfang platzierbar.

There is described a method for applying foil material (200) onto successive sheets (S), especially sheets for the production of securities, such as banknotes. In a first step, individual sheets (S) are transported in succession along a sheet transport path. In a second step, at least one continuous band of foil material (200) is applied onto the individual sheets (S) along a direction substantially parallel to a direction of displacement (A) of the individual sheets, thereby forming a continuous flow of sheets linked to one another by the said at least one continuous band of foil material (200). In a third step, the said at least one continuous band of foil material (200) is cut by means of a laser beam (L) such that the continuous flow of sheets is again separated into individual sheets (S) with portions of foil material (200*) remaining on the sheet. The cutting is performed at positions located on the sheets (S) such that said portions of foil material (200*) remaining on the sheets do not extend beyond leading and trailing edges of the sheets (S). Waste portions (205) of said at least one continuous band of foil material (200) that are not to remain on the sheets (S) are seized prior to cutting by the laser beam (L) and are held throughout the cutting process. There is also described an installation for carrying out the above method.

There is described a method for manufacturing intaglio printing plates for the production of security papers, wherein a laser beam (2) is used to engrave intaglio printing patterns (3, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3) directly into the surface of a laser- engravable, especially metallic, printing plate medium (1 ), wherein laser engraving of the printing plate medium (1 ) is carried out layer by layer in several individual engraving steps performed one after the other in register so that the intaglio printing patterns (3, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3) are gradually engraved into the surface of the printing plate medium (1 ) up to desired engraving depths, the surface of the engraved printing plate medium (1 ) being cleaned from residues of the laser engraving process following and between each individual engraving step.

MÉTODO PARA AUTENTICAR DOCUMENTOS DE SEGURANÇA, E DISPOSITIVO MÓVEL. Trata-se de um método para autenticar documentos de segurança e um dispositivo móvel, especialmente um telefone inteligente, programado para executar o método, com base em uma análise de recursos que são produzidos através da impressão de talho-doce, sendo que tal análise envolve uma decomposição de imagens de amostra de um documento- candidato a ser autenticado com base em Ondeletas, em que cada imagem de amostra é digitalmente processada através da realização de uma transformação de Ondeleta da imagem de amostra a fim de derivar um conjunto de recursos de classificação. O método tem por base uma abordagem adaptativa, a qual inclui as seguintes etapas: - antes de executar a transformação de Ondeleta, definir um mapa de categorização que contém informações locais a respeito de diferentes estruturas de linha de talho-doce que são encontradas nos documentos de segurança; - executar uma seleção de Ondeleta dentre uma aglomeração de tipos de Ondeleta com base no mapa de categorização; e - realizar a transformação de Onde leta da imagem de amostra com base na Ondeleta selecionada.
