The visual communication apparatus includes a smart key system that detects a key fob of a user within a keyless detection zone, a projector projecting visual indications on a projecting zone lying on a ground surface of the vehicle, a sensor optically capturing gestures of the user of the vehicle, and an electrical control unit capable of actuated key elements of the vehicle. The visual indications include passive visual indications requiring no activation from the user and active visual indications requiring activations from the user. Abstract: An assembly for a sunroof of a vehicle includes a longitudinal rail defining a longitudinal cavity having an opening. A bracket supports a first sunroof panel for movement along the rail, between a closed position and a fully open position. A portion of the bracket extends into the cavity opening and is movable along the cavity from a first side of a plane extending through a forward-most edge of the second sunroof panel to a second side of the plane opposite the first side of the plane, during movement of the first sunroof panel to the fully open position. Enabling the support bracket to move to the second side of the plane aids in maximizing the size of the sunroof opening when the panel is in the fully open position.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for operating a power tailgate system are disclosed. A vehicle includes a rotatable element structured for operable connection with, and disconnection from, a tailgate when the rotatable element resides in a predetermined tailgate removal orientation. A motor is connected with the rotatable element for interdependent movement, and a motor circuit is provided for the motor. During a driving event, the system identifies when no tailgate is connected with the rotatable element. If no tailgate is connected with the rotatable element, the system determines if the rotatable element resides in the predetermined tailgate removal orientation. If the rotatable element resides in the predetermined tailgate removal orientation, the system may check the rotatable element against rotation during the driving event by operating a motor circuit to electrically brake the motor to prevent the rotatable element from rotating out of the predetermined tailgate removal orientation.
