    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for generating a digitizer output signal, with which an output signal is generated at a digitizer, and especially to improve accuracy for detecting the touch input with the tip of finger of a user to a sensor panel by removing signal noises on an electrostatic capacitor caused by any object excepting for the user near the sensor panel. SOLUTION: Concerning the method and device for generating digitizer output signal, when the user touches a sensor panel 12, a 1st signal having 1st and 2nd components is generated, a 2nd signal practically equal with the 1st component of this 1st signal is generated, the 1st component of this 1st signal is canceled by this 2nd signal, and the detection output signal of touch input practically equal with this 2nd component of this 1st signal is generated.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly supply data to a color processor by including an image sensor and a programmable address controller connected to the image sensor in an integrated circuit(IC). SOLUTION: Light from an image is made incident on an image sensor array 14 through a lens 12 and the array 14 is controlled by the address controller 16. The controller 16 is built in the same IC including the array 14. The controller 16 has a control interface 20 to be connected to a control logic 18. Since the interface 20 has a general bus, memory-mapped data can be inputted/ outputted from the logic 18 to the controller 16. The controller 16 generates an image sensor address for specifying the address of data in the array 16 and sends the address to the image sensor through a signal line 22. The array 14 outputs 8-bit data to a color processor 27 through a signal line 24.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise removal circuit of a tablet for improving the performance of an electrostatic shield by removing noise from an output signal. SOLUTION: The electrostatic noise removal circuit is provided for the tablet provided with the shield 12 for supplying a signal adjusted to electrostatic noise and removing electrostatic noise from an information signal transmitted from a digital grid 10. Since the transparent conductive shield 12 is installed between the digital grid 10 and an image source 14, same electrostatic noise exists in both devices. The shield 12 is grounded at the shield end faces in zero to n-1 places. Here, (n) is the total number of the shield end faces. An electric signal is taken from a face which is not grounded, it is supplied to a differential amplifier 16 as an input signal and the information signal from the digital grid 10 is supplied as the other input signal from the differential amplifier 16. Thus, the signal outputted from the amplifier 16 becomes the information signal from which a noise signal component is removed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate in different feeding voltages with one PLL by detecting the value of power supply voltage to a PLL circuit and adjusting an operation frequency of the PLL circuit based on a detection value. SOLUTION: A detector detects the value of power supply voltage. An output 13 of the detector is connected to a PLL 14. The detector of power supply voltage operates by comparing the power supply voltage with reference voltage that is not affected by the power supply voltage. The PLL 14 includes a frequency divider 26 between Vco/ICO 24 and a phase detector 18. When it is detected that the power supply voltage is 5V as is shown by a control line 13, a multiplexer 28 selects an output 27 from the divider 26. In such cases, the frequency range of the PLL is adjusted based on the detected value of the power supply voltage by changing the reference voltage or reference current. This makes it possible to obtain a PLL which has an operation frequency characteristic that does not depend on power supply voltage.

Furthermore, it is desirable to correct the numerators of those computational expressions based on the signals A to D.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a telemetry system which has been improved for a stylus communicating with a digital tablet by providing a first oscillator which prepares position information, and a second oscillator which prepares a telemetry carrier wave signal in the stylus for the digital tablet. CONSTITUTION: This stylus includes two oscillators which generate different frequencies F1 and F2, and a frequency F1 with 125kHz is used as a position signal, and a frequency F2 with, for example, 250kHz is used for a telemetry. The carrier wave of the telemetry is allowed to pass through a filter 2 whose center is positioned at the zero of a filter 1. The filter 2 allows the telemetry signal with 250kHz to pass and interrupts the position signal with 125kHz. Therefore, the position signal and the telemetry signal are simultaneously transmitted to a digital tablet. A circuit in the tablet processes the position signal and detects the position of the stylus. Another circuit processes the telemetry signal and this signal is actually a modulated carrier wave, and it includes information which has been transmitted from the stylus.
