Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wearable robot with a separable wearable module and a controlling method thereof. Specifically, when dangerous situations occur such as the falling of a user who moves with a wearable robot or applying impacts from outside objects, the wearable robot with a separable wearable module and the controlling method ensure that the user can safely escape from the wearable robot. In particular, when a dangerous situation occurs in a state of wearing a wearable module on the ankle or waist of the user capable of being assembled into or dissembled from the wearable robot, the wearable module can be separated from the wearable robot. In addition, the wearable robot can prevent determination errors on dangerous situations by comprehensively comparing and determining bio-signals of the user with sensing signals sensed by various types of motion sensors. Therefore, the wearable robot can improve reliability and competitiveness in not only a medical wearable robot field but also associated fields.
