PURPOSE: A precooling apparatus capable of shortening a precooling time is provided which reduces labor power and consumption energy for the precooling process and preserves high quality vegetables or fruits for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION: In a tunnel type precooling apparatus, an inlet door(1) and outlet door, which are slid, opened and closed up and downwardly, are installed on both sides of a precooling chamber(3), a transfer conveyor(3a) for transferring each precooling product is installed in plural rows inside the inlet and outlet door and at the interior of the precooling chamber. A cold air through-hole(8a) also is formed at the interior of the cooling chamber to cause the circulation of cold air between the upper and lower space. A differential pressure fan(4) for forcibly circulating cold air is arranged on both sides of the transfer conveyor. A unit cooler(5) forcibly circulating cold air and generating cold air is arranged at the lower part of the transfer conveyor.

PURPOSE: A process of preparing Kyungokgo(Korean native name) as a kind of a restorative herb medicine for promoting blood circulation by heating several medicinal plants is provided. Whereby, the product is in a jelly state such as a bar of sweetened and jellied bean paste without a gel state available in the market. The process is simple and advantageous to put to practical use. CONSTITUTION: Kyungokgo containing Rehmanniae radix, ginseng powder, Poria cocos powder, honey and the like in a gel state and prepared by the prescription of the Dongeuibogam published in Korea as a book on oriental medicine is heated with 2 times of water at 95 to 100deg.C for 10 min and filtered with a filter paper at a pressure of 50Kgf/cm¬3. And 50% by weight of the Kyungokgo extract is mixed with a forming material comprising 2.0% by weight of agar, 28% by weight of sugar and 20% by weight of dregs of adzuki beans and concentrated, followed by cooling.

PURPOSE: A method for isolating and purifying natural antioxidant N-feruloylserotonin from safflower seeds is provided, thereby the high purity natural antioxidant N-feruloylserotonin is simply and rapidly obtained from safflower seeds. CONSTITUTION: The method for isolating and purifying natural antioxidant N-feruloylserotonin comprises the steps of: grinding safflower seeds and extracting the grinded safflower seeds with methanol; sequentially dividing the extract into ethylacetate, normal butanol and water fractions; dissolving the ethylacetate fraction into organic solvent and passing it through column chromatography to collect several fractions; passing the fractions through TLC and collecting fractions that have the same development distant; and measuring DPPH radical activity of fractions to isolate antioxidant, in which methanol is 70 to 90%, and the extraction is performed at room temperature for 1 day.
