Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for mixed analog and digital beam-forming are provided to execute a digital beam-forming process for compensating for other terminals except for a first terminal using an analog beam-forming pre-coder fixed in the first terminal. CONSTITUTION: A pre-processor(124) executes a digital beam-forming process by multiplying a digital beam-forming pre-coder by a second sub carrier. The digital beam-forming pre-coder determines an analog beam-forming pre-coder for compensating for a second sub carrier transmitted to a second receiver. The analog beam-forming pre-coder is optimized for a first sub carrier transmitted to a first received in a parallel symbol stream. An RF(Radio Frequency) chain executes an analog beam-forming process by multiplying an analog beam-forming pre-coder by an analog signal. The analog beam-forming pre-coder is transmitted to one or more RF paths. The analog beam-forming pre-coder is optimized for the first sub carrier. PURPOSE: A device for entering into a network which is composed of various kinds of networks is provided to make a base station enter into a network in which a mobile terminal makes utmost performance. CONSTITUTION: A terminal(110) transmits a ranging sequence to a serving BS(Base Station)(120) in order to enter into a network. The terminal controls an UL(UpLink) parameter based on the direction of the serving BS in the response message. The terminal transmits a ranging request message to the serving BS. The terminal receives a ranging response message including the network access information from the selected serving BS(130). The terminal performs a network entry procedure with the selected serving BS.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A device for increasing performance in an open loop multi cell MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) system and a method thereof are provided to increase performance by PMI(Precoding Matrix Index) cycling or PMI repetition. CONSTITUTION: A controller(522) transmits the identifiers of a base station or a temporary base station to a serving base station wherein the base station has larger average power than a specific value. The controller receives information of a base station related to generated joint processing using a bitmap or a base station identifier. The controller feeds a transmission coherence matrix or a main eigen vector of a related base station back to the serving base station. The controller corresponds to the main eigen vector and receives a bitmap showing a PMI and a parameter showing a PMI cycle mode. The controller determines the PMI cycle mode according to the parameter.

다중안테나 시스템에서 압축된 코드북 기반으로 채널상태 정보를 피드백하기 위한 단말 동작 방법은, 양자화되지 않은 고유벡터에 대응하는 PMI(Preferred Matrix Index)를 선택하는 과정과, 상기 선택된 PMI의 코드워드가 상기 양자화되지 않은 고유벡터에 허용가능한 범위 내에 근접해 있는지를 판단하는 과정과, 상기 선택된 PMI의 코드워드가 상기 양자화되지 않은 고유벡터에 허용가능한 범위 내에 근접해 있지 않을 경우, 코드북을 압축매핑하여 압축하는 과정과, 상기 압축된 코드북을 기반으로 PMI를 선택하여 기지국으로 피드백하는 과정을 포함한다.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A cooperation transmission method using a code book designed by multi cells in a wireless communication network and the wireless communication system therefor are provided to generate a multi cell code book in a plurality of base stations to perform cooperation communication through the multi cell code book in the base stations, thereby increasing performance of a multi cell MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) system. CONSTITUTION: A serving base station receives a PMI(Precoding Matrix Indication or Precoding Matrix Index) and average receiving power from a terminal(S301). The serving base station transmits the received PMI and the average receiving power to a cooperation base station(S303). The serving base station and the cooperation base station generate a multi cell code book using a shared single cell code book(S305). The serving base station and the cooperation base station are cooperated with a terminal by applying a precoding matrix that the received PMI indicates(S307).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for eliminating inter-cell interference in a multiple input multiple output wireless communication system are provided to select a PMI(Precoding Matrix Index) according to a priority set by a priority index, thereby efficiently eliminating inter-cell interference. CONSTITUTION: The channel quality about a serving base station is measured(201). If the channel quality is lower than a threshold value, interference power received from neighboring base stations is measured(203). PMIs and priority indexes about each neighboring base station are calculated(205). At least one of the PMI, PMI type indicator, the priority indexes and the channel quality is fed back to the serving base station(207).
