Abstract: A thin film transistor substrate is provided to have a high transmittance and improve the response speed, by forming a pixel electrode having branch electrodes such that each branch electrode has grooves with boundary lines inclined in obtuse angles with respect to the extending direction thereof. A plurality of gate lines are formed above a substrate. A plurality of common lines are formed above the substrate, wherein the common lines are composed of a transparent conductor.
