    Abstract: PURPOSE: An IPS(In-Plane Switching) LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) using a cholesteric blue phase liquid crystal having optical homogeneity is provided to supply LCD having the driving voltage of many voltage by applying the liquid crystal in a two transistor IPS mode and stabilize cholesteric blue phase liquid crystal through UV(Ultraviolet) curing operation. CONSTITUTION: Transparency or an opaque common signal line(4) is formed on a lower transparent substrate on a layer such as a gate bus line(3). After the insulating layer is covered on the common signal line, a data bus line(1) is formed on the insulating layer. The pixel electrode separates in the formation of the pixel electrode from a first pixel electrode(6) and a second pixel electrode. The voltage of the different polarity is applied through a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) connected to each pixel electrode to the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode.

    Abstract: An FFS(Fringe Field Switching) LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to form a common electrode and a pixel electrode in the same plane with respect to first and second electrodes, thereby preventing deterioration of image quality caused by afterimages and flickers. When applying a gate signal to a cell, signals having different polarities are applied at the first or second pixel electrode of the upper and lower sides within one sub pixel.

    Abstract: A fringe-field switching LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to differentiate a width of a pixel electrode and a distance between two pixel electrodes according to a location, thereby preventing a narrow rubbing process margin and a mura fault caused by variation of an electrode width occurring in a process of etching the electrode.
