Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a thermoplastic resin composition having excellent impact resistance, anti-fatigue strength and flow property. CONSTITUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises: (A) 15 to 40 parts by weight of a g-ABS resin obtained by the emulsion graft polymerization of a rubbery polymer having an average particle diameter of 0.25 to 0.40 micrometers; and (B) 60 to 85 parts by weight of a SAN copolymer resin comprising (b1) 15 to 50 wt% of a branched SAN resin having the acrylonitrile content of 20-30%, weight average molecular weight of 350,000-400,000 and molecular weight distribution of 3.0-3.5, and (b2) 85 to 50 wt% of a SAN resin having the acrylonitrile content of 20-35% and weight average molecular weight of 100,000-140,000. The thermoplastic resin composition further comprises (C) 1 to 7 parts by weight of an ethylene bis(stearamide) based on 100 parts by weight of (A)+(B). The thermoplastic resin composition may further comprise a hindered phenol based anti-oxidant, a phosphite based anti-oxidant, a metal stearate based leveling agent, a silicone based impact reinforcing agent, a HALS based light stabilizer and an amine based antistatic agent.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A thermoplastic resin composition and its preparation method are provided, to improve the weather resistance and the impact resistance by employing a graft copolymer containing two different kinds of rubbery polymers. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of adding a graft monomer mixture of an aromatic vinyl monomer and an unsaturated nitrile monomer in the presence of an acryl-based rubber latex having a gel content of 85-96 wt% and an average particle diameter of 0.12-0.23 micrometers, adding an emulsifier, a polymerization initiator and an ion exchange water with stirring, heating the mixture with stirring to 50-65 deg.C, stirring the mixture for 10-30 min, and adding an oxidation-reduction catalyst at 60-80 deg.C to prepare a first graft latex until the conversion rate reaches 95 % or more; adding a butadiene-based rubbery polymer latex having a gel content of 60-80 wt% and an average particle diameter of 0.30-0.40 micrometers and a graft monomer mixture in the presence of the obtained first graft latex, increasing the temperature to 50-65 deg.C, adding a molecular weight controlling agent, stirring the mixture for 10-30 min, and adding a polymerization initiator at 60-80 deg.C to prepare a second graft latex until the conversion rate reaches 95 % or more; and continuously adding a graft monomer, a molecular weight controlling agent and a polymerization initiator for 2-4 hours at 65-80 deg.C to prepare a resin composition having the final polymerization conversion rate of 94-98 % and a solid content of 39-43 wt%.
