PURPOSE: A communication system using a beam distribution multiplex connection method is provided to supply a communication service of high quality regardless of traffic of an aircraft. CONSTITUTION: A communication module forms a communication link with ground stations(250-270). The communication module supplies an AMS(Aeronautical Mobile Service) to aircrafts(201-206). The communication module transmits the signal strength of the ground station. The ground station forms a signal which is transmitted to the communication module in a beam type.

PURPOSE: Transmission apparatus and method for securing frequency selectiveness in a satellite communication system are provided to obtain diversity gain by differentiating channel fading properties in multi-carrier signals. CONSTITUTION: An antenna feed group selecting part(110) selects one or more antenna feed groups. A cyclic delay offset determining part(120) determines cyclic delay offset according to the result of the selection. A transmitting part(130) applies the cyclic delay offset to signals to be transmitted to the selected antenna feed groups and transmits the signals to the selected antenna feed groups. A transmitting part transmits the signals based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing-based radio interface.

An apparatus for tracking polarized waves is provided to track the polarization of transmission signals to a satellite, thereby solving inconsistency of the polarization due to the change in the posture of a satellite or terrestrial terminal and the environment. A polarization tracking apparatus for reception comprises the followings: a feeder(303) which receives vertically and horizontally polarized waves to find out vertical and horizontal polarization factors; a polarization estimator(305) which estimates the deformation of polarization by using the vertical and horizontal polarization factors outputted from the feeder; a polarization controller(307) which controls the amplitude of vertically and horizontally polarized waves and phase information based on the estimated transformation information and signals; and a combiner(311) which combines the vertically and horizontally polarized waves controlled by the controller.

The sequence extender comprises: a sequence generator (933), a circulating transition unit (935), and an operation unit (937). The sequence extender generates an extended sequence by adding up more than two sequences. The sequence generator produces more than two CAZACs (Constant Amplitude Zero Auto-Correlation). The circulating transition unit transits more than two CAZAC sequences produced by the sequence generator respectively. The operation unit produces an extended sequence by adding up the transited CAZAC sequences. The preamble generator produces a preamble by using the extended sequence. PURPOSE: A signal processing method in a relay apparatus is provided to increase spectrum efficiency by utilizing high dimensional modulation method. CONSTITUTION: An external apparatus transmits a signal modulated by a low-dimensional modulation symbol including basic information bit to a repeater(200). The repeater transmits a signal modulated by a high-dimensional modulation symbol including an additional information bit and the restored basic information bit to the terminal(210). The terminal restores the information bit by selecting or combining the signal of the repeater and the signal of the external apparatus(220).
