PURPOSE: An RFID tag attaching device for ship block management, an RFID reader, and a transporter for ship block transportation are provided to confirm an identification number of a ship block by easily reading an RFID tag even if the transporter enters into any kind of direction. CONSTITUTION: An RFID(Radio Frequency ID) tag(102) stores the management information of a ship block. An RFID tag holder(101) accepts the RFID tag. A beeper(103) is accepted to the RFID tag holder with the RFID tag and generates a beep sound according to a beep request signal. An attach unit is connected to the top of the RFID tag holder. The attach unit(104) has means attached to the lower part of the ship block in order to cling the RFID tag holder to the lower part of the ship block.

PURPOSE: A device and method for predicting the location of a block are provided to easily manage blocks in an industrial field, thereby increasing work efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A barcode recognizing unit(102) recognizes a tag of a barcode attached to both sides of a block. A navigation unit(106) predicts a current location in real time. A synchronization unit(108) tags the predicted location information of a point of time when the barcode is recognized. A location predicting unit(110) calculates the location of the block based on tagging information transferred from the synchronization unit.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A map matching apparatus and method of a moving object are provided to be used for a system for tracking the position of a moving body on a map or a vehicle navigator and to be able to apply to a special moving object which does not run on a typical road. CONSTITUTION: A map matching apparatus of a moving object comprises a location receiving unit(100), an electronic map unit(110), a virtual road center line creating unit(120), and a map matching unit(130). The location receiving unit receives the position coordinates of the moving object from the global positioning system receiver. The electronic map unit stores polygon data representing a particular object. The virtual road center line creating unit calculates the peripheral area within a given distance based on the position coordinates of the moving object. The virtual road center line creating unit searches the polygon data from the map data for the peripheral area calculated. The map matching unit finds the minimum distance between the position coordinates of the moving object and the virtual road center line created and then connects them with a line. The map matching unit calculates a dot meeting with the connected line or a dot on the line as a first location coordinate.

A vehicle navigation apparatus and method for controlling image-based route guide are provided to secure route guide suitable for circumstances by changing or combining images representing guide information according to the distance to a destination. A vehicle navigation apparatus for controlling image-based route guidance comprises a route search guide unit(140), a navigation guide unit(100) and a control unit(190). The route search guide unit generates route guide information related to a route input from a user by using an electronic map and the present position, and a guide message as the present position approaches a destination. The navigation guide unit generates a plurality of navigation guide information on the basis of the route guide information transmitted from the route search guide unit, and stores the information after overlaying to a front image transmitted from an image acquiring unit(110). The control unit selects one of the overlaid images as the present position approaches the destination when receiving the generated guide message, and controls the navigation guide unit so that the corresponding image through an output unit(200).

An apparatus and a method for estimating a center line of an intersection are provided to prevent traffic accidents generated around the intersection and to display the direction information of real vehicle navigation. An apparatus for estimating a center line of an intersection is composed of: a road information provision unit(120) for providing information about the road on which a vehicle runs, on the basis of position information of the traveling vehicle; a crosswalk recognition unit(140) for recognizing a crosswalk on the basis of the input image of the crosswalk and road information and obtaining the distance from the traveling vehicle to the crosswalk; and an intersection estimating unit(150) for estimating the center line of the intersection on the basis of the lane width of the road and the number of lanes transmitted from the road information provision unit, the width and shape of the crosswalk, the width of the crosswalk, and distance to the crosswalk.

A method and an apparatus for displaying a traffic lane in a car navigation device using a camera are provided to improve readability of the car navigation device by displaying a semi-actual lane image to a driver. An apparatus for displaying a traffic lane in a car navigation device includes an image input unit(10), a lane recognition unit(20), an image output unit(60), an image display unit(50), an angle calculator(30) and a determining unit(40). The image display unit applies a lane separation line, which is recognized by the lane recognition unit, on a forward image, which is taken by the image input unit, or extracts a previous frame image, such that a driving image is inserted into the image, from which the lane separation line is extracted, or the previous frame image. The angle calculator calculates an angle between two lane separation lines. The determining unit compares the calculated angle with a threshold value, and controls the image display unit to apply the lane separation line on the image, when the calculated angle is smaller than the threshold value.

CONSTITUTION: A navigation information management unit (220) collects navigation information of a ship. A chart processing unit (230) converts a chart received from a land server into the form corresponding to a mobile terminal. A communication control unit (210) collects surrounding ship information through group communication with a predetermined server corresponding to surrounding ships.
