PURPOSE: A web application program management device and a method thereof are provided to facilitate management by converting a web-based application program into an application program for mobile terminal, installing in a terminal through an application program manager for terminal and to conveniently use a web-based application program by a user. CONSTITUTION: A web application program management device embedded in a mobile terminal includes a web application program converter(110), database(120) and a web application program management unit(130). The web application program converter includes a web page parsing unit(111) and a web application program data storage unit(112). The web page parsing unit performs parsing a web page which a user browses from a web browser and extracts information from a web application program for storing the application program. The web application program data storage unit converts the web application program into the application program capable of being used in a mobile terminal based on the extracted information in the web page parsing unit. The database stores the web application program data converted by the web application program data storage unit. The web application program management unit manages the web application program to be installed and executed in the mobile terminal based on the information stored in the database. PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing a service using a user terminal are provided to supply a customized service based on input/output device information of the user terminal. CONSTITUTION: A database(120) stores a service profile about a service. A controller(130) parses an input/output device profile, provides it to the profile writer and provides a customized service profile to a user terminal. The service profile is made in an XML(eXtensible Markup Language) format.

A method for providing a personalization service in a ubiquitous environment and an intelligent gadget thereof are provided to perform the personalization service through interaction between gadgets by forming a gadget network dynamically changed by the gadget. A gadget service unit(210) collects and processes data for providing a personalization service linked with an external network. A gadget interface unit(220) provides services cooperated with each other by forming a gadget network between intelligent gadgets(200) and using the collected/processed data. The gadget interface unit includes a gadget network interface unit(213) forming the gadget network with gadget network members, a gadget network determiner(214) determining the gadget network member with a gadget ID and determining gadget network configuration with a gadget network ID, and a gadget controller(215) creating a gadget network-based service by using the data processed in the gadget service unit among the gadget network members determined in the gadget network determiner.

A multimodal interface system is provided to offer an independent multimodal interface to an I/O device and the external network by providing a multimodal interface framework, which is a library type API(Application Program Interface) for each component to input/output data through various kinds of devices. A multimodal manager(11) transfers I/O information received from an application program to an input analyzer(12) and an output designing part(13), and returns a result of the input analyzer and the output designing part to the application program. The input analyzer transfers the input information of the multimodal manager to a recognizing part based on operation/recognition control information of the multimodal manager, and returns a recognition result to the multimodal manager. The output designing part transfers the output information of the multimodal manager to an output converter, returns the result of the output converter to the outside, and returns an output result to the multimodal manager. An application information storing part(14) stores and searches various information for the application program by the multimodal manager.

CONSTITUTION: The terminal(10) displays the XML document and transmits an HTTP(HyperText Transfer Protocol) request including the profile information. A profile storage(50) divides/stores the profile information into an HTTP and a profile. An HTML-XML converter(40) transfers an HTTP request message removing the profile to a web server(70). If an HTTP reply is received from the web server, the HTML-XML converter converts the HTML document(80) included in the received message into the XML document by referring to the profile information and transmits the XML document to the terminal.
