무선 인터넷 시스템에 위치하는 다수의 기지국은, 특정 시간 간격으로 정적 사용자를 검출하고 이를 일정 경우의 수 만큼 단말별로 유지한다. 이렇게 유지되는 정적 사용자에 대한 정보는 기지국 단위의 정적 확률로 재 계산되어 호 수락 제어에 이용할 수 있다.
따라서 무선 인터넷 시스템에서 검출된 정적 사용자의 단말을 정적 확률이라는 확률 값으로 계산하고, 이를 호 수락 제어에 이용함으로써 불필요한 자원의 예약을 최소화할 수 있다.

Abstract: A method for managing an active set in an OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access)-TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) based mobile Internet system is provided to prevent a waste of resources and thus enhance performance of the overall system by constructing an active set with base stations of high mobility, managing base stations of low mobility as a semi-active set, and omitting information about the reservation of resources among pre-handover contents. An active set and a semi-active set are discriminately operated by using statistical data about movement habit of a terminal in addition to signal conditions. The terminal is operated based on the past experience values with respect to probability of movement from the current location to neighbor base stations, and if the probability of movement of the terminal to a base station among target base stations within the active set is smaller than any threshold value operated by a system, the terminal is admitted to a semi-active set.

Abstract: Disclosed is a protocol embodying system and method in the GGSN. An IP layer is provided between the GPRS network and the PDN and performs routing between the two networks, and performs routing between the protocols of the first and second network layers and the transfer layer protocol on the GPRS network. A virtual driver is provided on the lower part of the IP layer, is connected to the protocol of the GPRS tunneling provided to the upper part of the IP layer on the GPRS network, and is operable as the lower interface of the IP layer. Since the upper part and the lower part of the IP are appropriately connected by the virtual driver, a single IP is needed in the system, and the embodied configuration becomes simpler.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A protocol implementation system in GGSN(Gateway GPRS Supporting Node) and a method thereof are provided to simplify an implementation structure by installing a virtual driver below an IP layer. CONSTITUTION: A protocol implementation system in GGSN includes an IP layer and a virtual driver(100). The IP layer is located between a GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) network and a public data network in order to perform a routing operation therebetween. In addition, the IP layer is used for performing a routing operation between protocols of a first and a second network layer and a protocol of a transmission layer in the GPRS network.
