    Abstract: PURPOSE: An air bag inflating structure for a vehicle is provided to easily rotate the front side of an air bag and to prevent the damage of the air bag by integrally molding a door in a foam layer with a hinge. CONSTITUTION: A door(12a) for inflating an air bag is integrally molded in a foam layer(16) in the rear side of an air bag cover(22). The upper end of the door, as a hinge(24) with a rotating pin, is installed in a core plate(20) added on an instrument panel(18) and the lower end of the door is inserted into the core plate with a protrusion(36) at the same time. The rear side of an air bag inflating line inserts a fixing plate(14) to contact the air bag cover with the instrument panel. In case of the explosion of an air bag module, the door is moved upward on the hinge and the air bag cover is separated from the fixing plate and torn along the inflating line so that the air bag is easily inflated.
