Abstract: PURPOSE: A leveling system of an air suspension vehicle is provided to improve freedom of design and to easily perform mounting work by installing a valve mechanism to the inside of an air spring. CONSTITUTION: A leveling system of an air suspension vehicle has a valve mechanism(50) installed to the inside of an air bag(11) of an air spring(10). In the valve mechanism, an air supply line and an air exhaust line are opened by rack and pinion actions of according to compression or extension of the air spring. The valve mechanism comprises a rod(51) fixed to an upper bracket(12) of the air spring; rotating disks(52) rotatably mounted on the lower sides of the rod through a pin(53); and a rack bar(54) fixed to a lower bracket(13) of the air spring. The rotating disk forms a supply groove corresponding to the lower end of the supply line, to open the supply line, and an exhaust groove corresponding to the lower end of the exhaust line, to open the exhaust line. Pinions are integrally formed to the inner surface of the disks. The rack bar has a rack formed on the side and the rack bar is engaged with the pinion of the rotating disk. Thus, the height of the vehicle and the position of the vehicle are maintained regularly.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A leveling system of a vehicle having an air suspension is provided to improve freedom of design for the suspension, to be installed easily and to be used for all vehicle types by minimizing interference of peripheral parts with packaged devices to control a leveling valve. CONSTITUTION: A leveling valve(50) operated by a pneumatic signal is installed to a lower bracket(13) of an air spring(10). An operation control device(60) is installed to an upper bracket(12) to generate the pneumatic signal to the leveling valve. The operation control device is arranged to a middle portion of a cylinder housing normally by a string(61) and a tension spring connected to both sides of a piston respectively. The operation control device generates a lowering signal of a frame(20) or a rising signal of the frame with a movement by compressing air when a ride height is lowered or raised. Lowering or rising signal is transmitted to the leveling valve through a hose(70,71) to operate the leveling valve. Therefore, a stable pose of a vehicle by supplying and exhausting air from the air spring according to the ride height.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A mechanism for downwardly moving an engine is provided to prevent an engine from making in contact with the important part of a driver by moving the engine downward even though the engine is pushed to the driver's seat in a front collision of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic actuator(3) consists of a hydraulic cylinder and a piston support member having a front end fixed to an engine(1). When the hydraulic pressure is applied to the hydraulic cylinder, the piston support member is lifted up and the engine is fixed with proper height. Oil is supplied to the hydraulic actuator by an oil pump(7) from an oil tank. When a sufficient amount of oil is supplied, a solenoid valve(9) isolates a pipe(8) to prevent the oil from flowing out of the hydraulic cylinder. A piezoelectric sensor(10) outputs an electric signal by detecting a shock applied to a vehicle body in a front collision of the vehicle. According to the electric signal, the solenoid valve opens the pipe to flow the oil in the hydraulic cylinder to the oil tank. The piston support member is descended and the engine is positioned on a lower part. Therefore, the engine does not injure the upper half of driver's body even though the engine is pushed toward the driver's seat by a shock in the front collision.
