    Abstract: PURPOSE: Connecting structure of a vehicle rear body is provided to safely protect a passenger from a broadside collision of a vehicle by making impact given to the side of a front door easily transmitted to a quarter pillar through a center pillar, to uniformly distribute impact energy to each part of the vehicle body. CONSTITUTION: In connecting structure of a vehicle rear body, a first impact-transmitting member(11) and a second impact-transmitting member(12) are disposed under a quarter side member(9) horizontally installed between a center pillar-reinforcing member(7a) installed to a center pillar(7) and a quarter pillar-reinforcing member(8a) installed to a quarter pillar(8). One end of the first impact-transmitting member is connected with the center pillar, and the other end of the first impact-transmitting member is connected with one end of the second impact-transmitting member. The other end of the second impact-transmitting member is connected with the quarter pillar-reinforcing member. Plural forming parts(11a) are formed to the first impact-transmitting member.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A bumper structure for protecting the knee of a walker in a vehicle crash is provided to prevent the injury of the knee of the walker by reducing the bending angle of a knee joint when the walker collides with a bumper. CONSTITUTION: A bumper structure for protecting the knee of a walker is composed of a first lever(140) supporting the rear of a front bumper cover(112) and passing through a bumper foam(120) and a steel back beam(130), and a second lever(150) rotatably fixed to the steel back beam by a second hinge(152). One side of the second lever is connected to the first lever by a first hinge(142). The other side of the second lever has an L-shape, and supports the bottom of a bumper. A spring(145) connects the first lever to the steel back beam, and supports the first lever.
