    Abstract: A measurement apparatus for measuring the amount of wear of gears is provided to rapidly and conveniently measure the amount of wear of gears by analyzing spectrum of oil in a gear box. A measurement apparatus for measuring the amount of wear of gears includes a gear box, an idle gear(12), a drive gear(22), a drive unit(20), a pair of oil circulation pipes(31), an oil cooling device(30) and an analysis apparatus(50). The idle gear is inserted into a center shaft(11) installed at a gear box. The drive gear is inserted into a rotary shaft(21) and engaged with the idle gear. The drive unit is connected to the rotary shaft. A pair of oil circulation pipes is connected to one side of the gear box. The oil cooling device is connected to the oil circulation pipe. The analysis apparatus analyzes a spectrum from the oil.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling a vehicle engine are provided to prevent the engine knocking in advance by controlling an ignitor according to humidity information. CONSTITUTION: An engine control device for a vehicle includes a cooling water temperature detecting part(10), an intake air temperature detecting part(20), a room humidity detecting part(30), an intake air amount detecting part(40), and an engine rpm detecting part(50). A control part(60) determines a basic ignition time point according to a detected engine rpm and a detected air amount, and a final ignition time point via the correction of the basic ignition time point according to a detected cooling water temperature and detected humidity information. A memory part(70) is set with a basic map table based on the air amount and the engine rpm, and a correction map table for the ignition time point based on the cooling water temperature, the intake air temperature, and the humidity information. An ignition coil(80) carries out the discharge of a high voltage to an ignition plug corresponding to a cylinder distinguished by a control signal applied from the control part.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An engine brake control method of a manual transmission vehicle is provided to increase effect of the engine brake by regulating the idle air amount according to the gradient of a road and operational force of a brake, and to decease operational force of a driver by controlling the engine brake in traveling on the downhill. CONSTITUTION: Variables are initialized(S100), and access condition for operating the engine brake is detected to be satisfied(S110). Increase of vehicle speed is calculated by subtracting prior travel speed from present travel speed, and the gradient of the vehicle is calculated(S120,S130). The maximum speed of the vehicle is output, and fitness of the brake is calculated(S140,S150). The reference speed for setting the engine idle air amount is output, and satisfaction of the first condition for activation of the engine brake is detected(S160,S170). The idle air amount control signal is output by calculating the engine brake air amount(S180). Operational force of the driver is decreased by controlling the engine brake during traveling on the downhill.
