Abstract: An isolated nucleic acid (I) from Corynebacterium glutamicum encoding a sugar metabolism and oxidative phosphorylation (SMP) protein, or a portion of it, providing that the nucleic acid does not consist of any of the F-designated genes, given in the specification, is new.
