    Abstract: Coating composition containing an emulsion polymer obtainable by free-radical-initiated emulsion polymerisation of a monomer mixture comprising A) from 15 to 60% by weight of an acrylate containing a primary or secondary C1- to C18-alkyl group, which may be interrupted by oxygen atoms, as the alcohol radical (monomer I), a methacrylate containing a primary or secondary C5- to C18-alkyl group, which may be interrupted by oxygen atoms, as the alcohol radical (monomer II), or a mixture of these monomers, B) from 15 to 50% by weight of an acrylate or methacrylate containing a tertiary C4- to C8-alkyl group as the alcohol radical (monomer III), an acrylate or methacrylate containing a C6- to C12-alcohol radical (monomer IV) comprising or containing an alicyclic or aromatic group, a methacrylate containing a primary or secondary C1- to C4-alkyl group as the alcohol radical (monomer V), acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile (monomer VI), acrylamide or methacrylamide (monomer VII), a vinyl ester of a C1- to C8-carboxylic acid (monomer VIII), or a mixture of these monomers, C) from 10 to 50% by weight of one or more C8- to C12-vinyl aromatic compounds (monomer IX), D) from 8 to 20% by weight of an olefinically unsaturated C3- to C5-mono- or C4- to C8-dicarboxylic acid, or anhydrides thereof (monomer X), or a mixture of these monomers, E) from 0 to 5% by weight of further copolymerisable monomers containing functional groups (monomers XI), in the presence of from 0.1 to 10% by weight, based on the monomer mixture comprising A to E, of an emulsifier mixture comprising (a) one or more sulphosuccinic acid derivatives of the formula I in which M is an alkali metal or ammonium, which may be substituted by one to four C1- to C4-alkyl or C1- to C4-hydroxyalkyl groups, and X and Y are identical or different and are each O-(CnH2nO)m-R, OM or NHR, where at least one of the radicals X and Y is O-(CnH2nO)m-R or NHR, R is C6- to C18-alkyl, C6- to C18-alkenyl, C5- to C8-cycloalkyl, (C1- to C12-alkyl)aryl or phenyl, n is a number from 2 to 4, and m is a number from 0 to 30, (b) from 0.1 to 10 parts by weight, per part by weight of (a), of at least one further anionic emulsifier, and (c) from 0 to 10 parts by weight, per part by weight of (a), of one or more nonionic emulsifiers.
